Display Faulty, Lots of errors. Please help

Yesterday I was driving along and suddenly all hell broke loose. I am getting multiple errors, my gauge cluster is flashing, and many of the electirical accessories do not work.

Errors:
1. Display Faulty, Visit Workshop
2. SRS, Visit Workshop

Gauge cluster:
1. Hi-beam indicator light is flashing occationally.
2. Park Brake indicator light is flashing occationally.
3. SRS indicator light is flashing constanly.
4. Fuel gauge does not work

Electrical Accessories:
1. Windows don't work
2. Turn signals don't work
3. Steering wheels buttons don't work.
4. Keyless entry bearly working (within 1 foot of car)
5. Door lock not fully working.

I had to disconnect my battery ground the other day. Think it may have something to do with it. I search and some other members have had similar problems, but no way to fix it was posted. Thanks, please help. I don't want to have to take the car in to the dealership if I can easily fix it myself.

try letting your car rest for a bit. lock it up and leave it alone for a bit. then come back like an hour later and see if it still happens. its sorta like rebooting your car since our cars a like 50% computers. It might be as simple as a sensor or wire got wet and there wasa small short somewhere. just let it run its tantrum and see what happens.

Why did you disconnect your battery ground? and did you disconnect the positive terminal as well?

Had a similar problem. The entire electrical system went nuts.
Defective Rear SAM
Also something to do with a leak in the engine compartment - There is a TSB out there about water penetration and some caulking of a seam.

I have heard from a couple of other people that it is probably the rear SAM. Is there any way I can fix that before I have to take it to the dealership tomarrow?

My display took a dump about a month back. They had to replace the whole dash screen. ~$1400 worth of warranty work.

Now they have my car for the past week REPLACING the transmission, catalytic converters, and tracking an oil leak they can't seem to pinpoint.

Oh yeah, its a '03 230 SS with 29K miles......

What a piece of *****. MB sucks.
