Tinted Windows W203 Thread - All You want to know about window tinting a C Class
BlackC230Coupe,
Is the antenna located in the rear window or the rear side window?
Does anyone know?
Has anyone else had problems with reception after installing mirror tints?
They guarantee the job for as long as you own your car. The film supposed to be scratch-resistant, but even if you get a scratch, they will fix it at no charge. I have been dealing with them for a long time and I never had any problems
All of that for $199 -- Not bad.
www.ziebart.com ---- highly recommended.
P.S. Get them, they are worth all the tickets that I have been getting.
Living in Texas, we take a beating from the sun, expecially during the summer heat.
It seems that tinting the windows may cause a problem with scratching the tint, but has anyone tinted the sunroofs, and does the tinting interfere with anything other than the sun's rays, and is the daily result OK (ie no scratching or itching, etc.)?
TIA
Why would you want to tint the sunroof - its already tinted ? If thats not dark enough you can always extend the roller blinds. I guess I don't see why you would want to do this.
I decided to go with Llumar, turned out really nice.
Slight mirror reflective film... and my radio still works.
I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.
For the people that has tinted their cars....
did you get that plastic piece below the window tinted too?
Was it hard to tint that part?
does it look weird without the tint on the bottom part?
Thanks,

Hi...

I've never done it. How much does it cost? Anyone recommend a good place in LA (preferably westside)?
Also, what tint would go well with Brilliant Silver/Ash combo?
Oh, and I'm leasing my car. Is this a problem?
Newbii
PS. When I shift into manual mode, I get sortof shrill whirling noise above 2000 rpms. This noise doesn't occur in Automatic.
Normal, or should I get it checked out?
in automatic mode for normal driving, my engine almost never goes above 4000 rpm and thus i dont hear that throaty sound as much. when you shift in manual mode, you force the rpms higher (usually) and you would hear the sound.
Now I've got to install some H&R's, but I'll have to pry my wife's hands off the steering wheel first...
also, those of you who have tinted your C230 (white ones especially!) with a dark tint, no silver or reflective nonsense
, please post pics! i want to see what it'll look like.
i tried that line when i got pulled over but it didn't work... i still got a ticket...
