MB Manual cars
Okay this might sound like a dumb question but it's been bothering me like mad. From my knowledge MB makes very few stick cars, even in europe. But according to a friend who just got back from a Eurotrip all MB's there are stick. And then he went on to saying that even the AMG models are too, that's when i jsut couldn't believe it. Apparently there's a CLK55 AMG in 6 speed from factory? Please clear this up for me, have i been missing out or is he jsut full of s$#% ?

He is full of it.
(j/k) For years, 15 - 20 ago min, they predominanty had sticks in their cars. But all of this has changed. Your friend didn't mention MY, models, or other important factors. So ignore it and believe the forum.

Aw, i was also partially excited that an AMG car actually existed with a stick shift. Knew it was too good to be true

most MBz, BMWs, Audis are all standard with manual tranny in Europe because the gas price there are high and because they know how to drive unlike people in the States. If you look at the trend now, German probably prefer the SMG/DSG ish tranny more these days. Unlike us Americans who complains about anything that doesn't have a manual, yet all we do is line up at the red light and go straight.
I think the 6-spd on the CLK55 was a factory manufacturer option you can only get from AMG directly and have them put the tranny in there. NOT CHEAP.
