About to buy a C230 (NOOB questions)
Ok guys this is my first post. I am about to get rid of my Honda s2000 and get into a 2006 c230 sedan. What should i look out for? Any major issues? I also want to know what are the "must do" mods. I have been doing my homework and know that flat badge and dropping the car are good starting points. I have gotten quoted $28,730 for a 2006 white w ash interior 6 speed manual. Does this seem like a good price of should I keep working them. Should I do this now or wait a bit longer. I am not in a rush. Also, how slow is this car? I am used to driving 13 second cars. I know this car is nowhere near that but is it that bad? I have a test drive scheduled for next week but I am trying to get some info before. Any info you guys may have to offer i would greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.

I was thinking about going aftermarket for the Xenons. What do you think? I know the dealer charges an arm and a leg for these things. Thats why I didnt mention it in the original post.

I had an '05 C230, 6 speed. It IS a very nice car, BUT the new 3 series out-performs it in EVERY way

Thanx for the input guys. What about springs / exhaust etc. I was thinking H&R's since this is what i have used on all my cars and have been happy with them. I also read about B&G's and them offering a bigger drop. Any input? As far as exhaust goes I am lost because I am only familiar with the Jap stuff. So what do you guys have to say about the Carlssons, AMG, Eisennman exhausts. Thanx again !!!

Truth hurts? :v
The M35 out-performs the GS300 and is BIGGER for the same price. Feel better?

STFF. If you want to blind people with headlight lenses cut for halogens go ahead. STFF for someone who went and put in flashlight xenon bulbs and electronics. The pics speak for themselves. And the other point: halogens = reflectors which you don't get with the BIX. Yes I know that someone posted aftermarket projectors for halogens. go ahead and buy those and then buy aftermarket xenon kit for install. Add up the $ and you will still have less than OEM with less features.
