the 2005 models come with a 7pin taillight connector...the pre 2005s have a 6pin taillight connector...these aftermarket LED taillights are manufactured for the pre 2005s.

on the 2005s the car uses both bottom bulbs for illumination...on the pre 2005s it only uses the outer bulb for illumination (although I think I saw some pre 03s that used 2 bulbs for illumination per side as well).
The fact that one side has one wire less is because that side does not have a foglight bulb wired up.
The rear SAM can be programmed through stardiagnose to either support 1 taillight bulb per side or 2 taillight bulbs per side so by going for 1 bulb the car might come up with a malfunction code (unless you change the rear SAM setting).
The last thing you want to do is soldering anything onto the car's wiring harness...just get the pre 05 taillight connectors (mailed you the partnumbers) and the proper tool to take the pins out of the connector so you can swap them.

I thought that "altezza" meant those funky looking round ones with the rest being some reflective surface. Do I need to revert back and study up on my
?

Does the car look funny with the top brake portion always on as a running light? Any pics? I wonder if there's a way to disable the top portion from being a running light.

I saw them on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
and wanted to see if anyone owns a pair of these. It says that it's only for 00-03, and I was wondering if it would fit '05.
I've also seen the LED ones posted in Eky's thread. His LEDs don't fit the '05, but I'm hoping someone has the none LEDs so that they can tell me if it works with the 05's 7 pin. It's nice, it really gives the car the CL look.

So since I have an 04 and it says that these are made for '00-'03, will these fit my 04? I have no idea if my 04 has the 6 pin connectors either. I really want these just want to make sure that they would and will fit an 04 with a 6 pin also. TIA guys

i've seen LED tails for E46 by same manufacturer...
it wasn't even close to stock...
not sure on brightness of W203 LED tails, but i know you can modify with larger/brighter LEDs...
