Are they an easy install? I know you just pull the amber ones out, but I'm **** when it comes to DIY stuff, and I don't want to accidentally screw something up. Do you just use a screwdriver at one end and pry it off?

funny you say this b/c the aftermarket ones i have (which i painted to match the body colour) is more tightly fitted than the OEM one i have. if you want OEM fit and dont mind body colour instead of clear you can get them from evosport

well said thats how i did mine it i didnt get any scratches just becareful and you should be fine i also got mine from ebay. the way i see it is if they get messed up or w/e u can get another set plus they are cheap as hell $$$$

I took a heat gun and moved the tabs in a bit closer on the ebay ones and that made them as tight as the oems , just go slow !!

I know this has been discussed a million times, but sorry, I've STFF, and big surprise, I found nothing after spending an hour scrolling page after page for this information.
I want to get clear side markers for my 203; I know there are the eBay ones, but a few friends of mine that have them have fitting issues. Though they "fit", it's a very loose fit. Is there anyone here that have a good set that fits snug?

There is an easy way and the better way..
Easy way:
Take a plastic wedge (dull knife with thick tape around it, think of something) something to wedge between the old side marker and the black plastic and you can simply pry out the side marker, pull it out and remove the bulb thats in it and put your new marker in
Better way:
The entire side bumper piece comes off, unfortunately there are about 5 clips all around that need to get removed in order to dislodge it and once again use the plastice wedge to get those clips off, be sure not to damage the clips(it needs to go back on!). With the entire piece off you can easily pop out the side marker from the inside, remove the bulb and put on the new one. If any further questions, lemme know ive done it a bunch of times

mostly all the people who have dumped leased 2003-2005 C230K's are being bought by another batch of newbies, with the same questions asked since 2002 !

actually in searching you will find a LOT i=of info...but nothing that directly addresses removing that particular lens....i saw a post by you that listed references to just about every bulb on the car...and following those links...I found nada....so when I say I STFF I did.....and i respect the need for there not being an onslaught of redundancy...but the condescending tone of your post is not really appropriate or necessary..maybe I am misreading the comment about buying 'dumped lease vehicles' with the wrong tone....I could have purchases the vehicle new in 03 I could have purchased in new now....I made the error of purchasing a 03 Range Rover in 03 and that 90K Purchase is worth a little more than 1/3 in trade in or loan value now...so I wil never buy another new vehicle again...perhaps a little discretion is needed when making slanted posts...I search and then I ask because I value members like yourself that are essentially experts when it comes to the vehicle...perhaps you can take pride in that fact rather than dole out condescension....but that is just hte opinion of a newbie who purchased a dumped leased vehicle that is still under factory warranty 5k behind book....what do I know?

As for searching.... I stand by everything I ever say about searching,
because I know for a FACT there is more than one thread with clear concise instructions and pictures on how to remove / install sidemarkers.

WOW! I'm soo suprised how long this got over some sidemarkers. Just thought I would be a smart *** for today. Anyways here are my sidemarkers I got from Evosport. I love'em. Excellent paint match and quality.
