I'm looking at the ones that are on ebay right now.. I see how there are a few different styles, which one looks the best? Can I have opinions? or should I just get them from the sponsers? I would probably want to leave them white myself, the only thing is I'm not sure if I'd like the sides being white and the front headlamp signals amber...

Why dont we all either...

1. Get Euro Impact Strips (pefer with parktronic, b/c it looks sexy!)
2. Paint your sidemarkers body color.

thats the best way, it looks "cleaner"

Seriously, Advans? Do you think side markers would look good in Bordeaux Red? Does the bulb (light) show thru? I have been on the fence and thinking about this for a while. I want to go with clear sides but what bulb is it you recommend? Should one use clear bulbs in the side mirror and front signals as well?

Thanks!

Just got mine today, and put in Amber bulbs.
Clear is legal? Didn't know that.
Either way, I think it looks cool.

I also blacked out the grill with Blackout tape.
Unfortunately I did a crappy job and there's bubbles all over.

Guess I'll just pull the grill and paint it.
I have the clear fogs lenses too, but just waiting for the bulbs to come in the mail.
Tail tint coming too, but that'll be a bit of a project.

Everyone's begging for pics...here's a couple

its all about your own taste. there's no correct way of modding. it's more of nice or not so nice. just go with what you feel like...

I am leaning towards clear bulbs as well as lenses. Though, I hate to mix and match so I would want to replace the other ambers if I do. What is the general opinion out there?

Hey mj50, why the freeze on mods? You cannot be done!

Paint them, and put in a 28.8 ohm 5 watt resistor.

I kept the stock clear bulb. I think the amber bulb looks funny since see the orange dot. The stock clear bulb matches the parking light bulb when lit up. I'm probably going to get them painted 040 black when I drop of some other items to get painted.

Damn, already droppin' the $$$ to get that hood painted, huh? Just be thankful I didn't swoop it out from under your nose... Can't wait to see it though.

i prefer getting the bumper lenses painted to color match the car or get euro impact strips myself for the cleaner look. never been a fan of clear bumper lenses.

I have a question on the Euro Impact Strips. When you remove the side markers and replace them with the impact strips with no lights does this give an error since there are no more bulbs in there? I was wanting to know before I buy some of the Euro Impact Strips. Does anybody know? Thanks in advance...

I don't actually have them but I am aware of some people just tucking the bulbs into the inside of the bumper, so they still light up, but are not visible from the exterior.

Yes, you will get an error. Hence my suggestion to use a resistor rather than a bulb, so you don't ever have to worry about the bulb burning out, and having to fish it out from where-ever.
Just got my LED's....
gonna be interesting to see if I can get them to work.

well...

if you bought them...jus tpop out your old one's and try fitting them in...even thought I think some 07 owners here did that already...just try it...take a cloth and small flathead...and start from the back of the sidemarker (the edge towards rear of the car) and fit your flathead between the sidemarker and the impact strip...make sure the cloth you use is backing the other side of the flathead (THIS IS SO YOU DON'T SCRATCH YOUR PAINT!)...then just pop it out...but be gentle at the same time...try to look where everything is held together n slowly fingernail the other edges out...then take out the bulb...put bulb in new sidemarker...try popping it in...should fit.

Clear Corners in California

Looking for a cheap mod to do next. I am thinking of putting clear corners on the front bumper but do not want to be harassed by the CHP and getting pulled over for some stupid reason. I have light tint on my front windows but do have a front license plate. Anyone ever get a ticket for the corners?

No, I never really stressed about CHP or local PD...but I didn't like the look of the stock yellow-ish bulb anyways...and I wasn't going to go for the "ultra white" or blue-ish bulbs since those just aren't my style when it comes to sidemarkers (but I have those kind of bulbs on my city lights)...so what I did was I put in amber bulbs with the clear side markers...I THINK the law is that if it's night...you have to have side markers...and they have to be orange...I'm not too sure...but I think the amber bulbs with clear side markers look nice at night...

Painted to match the body colour is the way to go or better yet, euro impact strips (although much more expensive). the cleaner the better
