mine's smoked, so the light shines through during the night orange. It looks alright I guess. I might do what JW said too.

been a long time since i agree w/ deutchboy... 
this is in the owner's manual in the bulb replacement section.
push towards the back of the car and pop it out from the front w/ any thing you find useful.

'05 Sidemarkers Different from Pre-'05?
Hi Guys,
Finally decided to see if I could pop out the amber sidemarkers on my '05 230 sedan today.
As per previous thread, tried just pulling them off with my fingers. Definitely not possible! I may not be Arnold, but I'm not ridiculously weak either. I ended up wrapping a key in a thin microfiber cloth and used it as a mini-crowbar to pry out the front of the sidemarker.
When it came out, I was a little surprised at what I saw. It wasn't just the lens that came out. The lens was firmly attached to the lamp housing, so the whole housing+lens came out together. It was tethered to the car by a pair of wires disappearing into a hole in the bumper.
The lens seemed very tightly attached to the housing, and I could not get it off. I didn't want to try too hard, because I don't have a replacement lens on hand, and I didn't want to drive around with a cracked or broken sidemarker.
My impression from reading previous threads was that the housing stayed put while just the lens came out. I assume most of the people who have done this were pre-'05 owners. Maybe they changed the design?
All you pre-'05 owners, is your sidemarker bulb housing attached to the lens, or does the lens come off the bumper by itself?
Have any '05 owners changed their sidemarker lenses?

The ones I find on ebay appear to be Makoto, F1 and Toys Auto. Is one of those the vendor you purchased from? I think yours must have been different because the ones I saw on ebay were all totally clear (you can see the bulb), while yours are "frosted" (can't see the bulb).
The 01-04 side markers won't fit in an '05 bumper? Really?

Will those fit though. I emailed Makato who has clear lenses for 01-04 and he said they won't fit the 05's. So if those ones by F-1 say 01+ I'm not sure those fit.
Anyone know?

SDPD never gave me a hard time when i lived in SD. i had euro stips, no front plate and tint. SDPD are pretty cool, they are just to busy shooting the homeless.

Besides, take a look at the radar picture of RIGHT NOW ! We still have a few more hours of this to go until I can take the car out of the Helicopter Hangar.
