Well, these being EURO strips, your US dealer might not be willing to order them for you, since technically they would be an accomplice to your "crime".

that's right DIAMOND...
the Euro rubbing strips are not available from US dealers. When they look up the part # or use EPC it won't come up, because it's not meant to be installed on US cars.

Only source is Steve, the Euro Parts Pimp, or tuners in Canada, or straight from dealerships in Germany (if you've got the connections) !

and yes, they come pre-painted with your 3-digit color code.

Not to excuse him at all, but are there extra steps to ship something to PR? Maybe he's too lazy to do extra paper work or something.
NOPE ! No extra steps. Puerto Rico is part of the states. I won other auctions and they were here in 3 days. Formymercedes.com sent me the flat hood badge on Friday and it was in my mailbox on Monday.

Now that I've thought about what I asked in regards those side markers that match the color of the car, I feel stupid. I mean it does make sense that the dealer wouldn't sell it.

Well, I guess that is the effect of me having to deal with my own hurricane here in San Diego. I came home and my house was flooded. Just dealing with a lot of crap, but it doesn't stop me from reading the forum.

Anyway, does anyone know how much these would cost anywhere then?

Interesting how after my post F1 emailed me. I guess he's in the shadows. He gave me a delivery confirmation number. He shipped them almost a week after the auction. Let's see what happens when they get here.

i paid $120 for them painted from Steve. my new PTS impact strips are coming primered because they are no longer painting Citron anymore so i have to get those painted at my local body shop. my old euro stips anyone can have, they will just have to get them painted on their own. or if you know any Citron owners put the word out.

Hmm... so much for the "we will ship no later than 2 business days..." I just paid for mine today, we'll see how long it takes for delivery.

PRHELOPILOT AND Aurora,

Let me know if the ones you bought from F1 fit the '05s. Also let me know if they are somewhat snugged. I know they will never be close to OEM. Keep me posted. Much appreciated, thanks!

Actually the USPS website says :

"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper or shipping partner on September 13, 2004 to expect your package for mailing. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

What this means is that they printed a mailing label but it doesn't mean they have taken it to the Post Office yet !! Also if they had, it would have changed the message to something lie " package was accepted at XXXXX for delivery..."

Still, they printed the label 4 days after I paid them, so you be the judge of "we will ship no later than 2 business days..."

Sure, will do, but as Pilot pointed out ernster was already the guinea pig.

Ernster, how was the removal of the original lens?

Aurora, have you gotten yours yet ?

I'm calling them tomorrow to see if they have shipped, if not I'm telling them I don't want them. I hate people like that. I'd rather pay more to a responsible person, if I have to.

I might even paint mine also.

I called today and left them an earful on their machine because I've called many times and they never answer in person. I also emailed them again and they replied to my email that they will put a tracer on it , to give them 3 or 4 more days now.

i got my sidemarkers today. total transaction time: won eBay bid 9/15, paid 9/16, shipped out on 20th, arrived 22. now do all these clear sidemarkers always look so cheap? i know they're made in taiwan and all, but still... kinda flimsy up close. only thing now is i won't know how these actually fit until next month when my car finally arrives.

I don't know which ones you received from F1 or if he sells diferent ones , and I hope the ones I EVENTUALLY receive are good, but I installed the ones for my neighbor from F1 and they went in and stayed very snug. They fit like the factory ones and his car is the same as mine.

You guys ordered the one's that is shown in the picture on the first page of this post correct? Those look CLEAN but I like the euro look for some reason, beats me! Good luck on your part's though, sometimes people on ebay, you just want to .. yea you get the picture
