They fit in my coupe trunk without folding seats down, but that is with a small Ping golf bad with no woods. I use a 1 iron to tee off, I dont use any woods.

Young, I can fit two standard sized bags horizontally at the rear of the trunk. I have a set of standard length woods in my bag... any longer than standard would be a challenge.

I use the narrower area under the package shelf/speaker for 2-wheel pull carts. I can put two under there. It's a squeeze for all this but it can be done. One bag and one pull cart is a snap.

I have the fold down rear seats (C3), but haven't found this a necessity for golf clubs.

I easily fit my clubs in the trunk without a problem. I normally keep them in there with plenty of room for the occasional food shopping etc. I only take them out when I know I will need a lot of room.

You do have to fit them in at an angle though. You probably could get two sets in, but it would be a squeeze. I know MB-BOB (played with him last Sat.) fits his clubs and a walking cart/pull cart in his trunk.

Wow, don't know too many people that use a 1 iron (a few that use a 2). What kind of distance to you get on that? Are you a scratch golfer?

I can fit 2 bags, but it's a tight squeeze. Sometimes I remove the driver from one of the bags to ease the space.

yeah, the irons aren't too bad as long as the longer ones aren't in the bag. but the woods/driver... no way. jeez, i can barely hit the 3 iron and you use a 1?

thanks for the info everyone. remind me to take a driver next time when i go shopping for a car. does the new sl55 have enough trunk space i wonder?

Yeah I have a 1.2 handicap. Thats playing a 146 slope course. I used Titleist 981 irons with stiff steel shafts, (1, 3-pw) and Titleist Vokey wedges at 52, 56, 62 loft with a Ping Isoforce putter. I usually hit the 1 iron about 245-250, which is plenty of distance for me. I played on the varsity golf team when I was in 9th grade and all throughout highschool. The courses we played on were nothing compared to the course I live at. We only played 9 holes and I was only in the 40's once during all four years of golf team. I do have a 8.5 degree Callaway Hawkeye driver that I can put out about 290 consistantly but I did hit it 318 once. I don't know how many of you follow golf but I played the TPC at Sawgrass and shot a 76, and played Pinehurst #2 and shot 75. Once during my senior year in golf I shot a 32 on 9 holes. I won the state golf singles division 3 times in four years, and our schools golf team won the state twice.

See, it all started when I was younger. In our "lifestyle" golf was the thing to do in the summer and ski was the thing you do in winter. I am only about 5'5 and 130 pounds so I was always too small to play basketball, football, soccer etc. So golf was my thing. I'm 19 now and up till I was 14 or 15 I HAD to use steel shafted irons cause the could be easily shortened, unlike graphite shafted woods were much harder to shorten. I never worked in high school cause golf was my job. we have a putting green out back and i had to putt for at least 1 hours before school 1 hour after and be at the driving range a minimun of 3 hours a day and play at least 4 rounds a week. I had intentions of playing in college and trying to go pro, but a blown-out elbow stopped that. Since I live at a country club that has a golf course it was very easy, to play and play often. I just always learned to use irons and never woods. My coach was always willing to teach me to hit woods but if it ain't broke don't fix it. lol

Timmy, I am available for adoption...

I have a complete set of Callaway irons (13 clubs): 1-9, PW, AW, SW, LW. I like the 1-iron, but can't hit it any farther than the 2-iron...:o

Thanks guys, but like i said it was my "job" I mean, if you spend 5 hours a day at the course, coupled with 5 rounds a week, and 6 hours of private lessons a week, you would be a great golfer to.

I guess I have the right idea, I stopped using my woods and have been teeing off with irons. Only get about around 215 with the 3 iron.

Whats in your bag. I got Callaway X-10s, thinking of selling them and getting a set of Mizuno MP-33 forged. Anyone try the Callaway C4 yet?

I have the following in my bag.....

Callaway GBB 10 degrees (Prolite 3.5, 46"), #5 & #7 Warbirds (Penley Tour Light), Yonex Rekin Super 10 Tour Forged irons (#4-PW), Yonex PM SW & LW and Tear Drp Z2 putter.

Made it to the MB Golf World Finals (Stuttgart) in 2000 and the Jaguar Golf World Finals (Gleneagles, Scotland) in 2001. Had a great time! Anybody here been to the MB World Finals?

Yes, I have tried the Callaway C4. Didn't like the feel of the club at impact. Felt "dead" and sounds like a hitting a persimmon driver.

Nike makes really good athletic shoes... Callaway, Titleist and Taylor Made don't make shoes, but they do make really good golf equipment. IMO, I try not to confuse the two.

Although the number one golfer in the world right now uses Nike. Hmmm.

Have you seen the comercial where Tiger says that his agreement with Nike is that if he finds better equipment, he can switch?

As for myself, I have Lynx Black Cat CST-1 Irons with steel shafts, and a Lynx Predator 3 Wood and 5 Wood.

i have a set of prince irons and woods/driver. i'm happy w/ the woods/driver but not so much w/ the irons. cleveland pitching wedge.

i'd get the nike's b/c they're cool but they're too expensive for a player w/ my minimal skills.

Is that the driver that has a carbon fiber look to it. If it is I hit it and I too thought it felt "dead" upon impact. No customary Callaway sound, or feel.

Tiger could win with a nine iron and a putter from a local chip 'n putt, for God's sake (though he's 3 down right now, thankfully). The other players have pretty much given him the win before he ever tees up at the first hole.

You really don't believe that part about switching, do you? Why would he switch? Don't you think that he can get custom clubs from them whenever he wants? Don't believe the hype.

Exactly, my skills are probably worse than yours, all I can do is get cool clubs so at least I look good!!! That's why I go the 300 series, like the black, red, & silver color - matches my car.

I'm with tommy on this one. Tiger's "Nike" clubs are about as close to what Nike sells to the public as McLaren's Mercedes motor is to what is in our cars.

Cheers, BT
