Heel-toeing in the Coupe 6spd.
Sometimes, when driving my wife's Honda and I'm bored, I practice the heel-and-toe downshifting manuver. The pedal spacing is good and the engine revs easily (almost too easily).
Anyone do this in the Coupe? I've had no luck with it. The pedals are too far apart and the throttle "blip" doesn't work. I can't get the revs up high enough, or fast enough to match the input shaft speed. Instead of a "blip", I end up doing: blip...BLIP...BLIIIIP...

MB coupe.
Ya, I find it clumsy too. I have owned other cars that were way easier to heel 'n toe. It must be the pedal spacing, and the throttle spring.
I guess we just need to practice more.

as far as pedal spacing goes, you could always get a set of bolt on pedals from autozone and put them on over the brake and clutch so it makes them very close together, it might make it easier to blip it. I friend of mine did that with his Vette. There is about an inch between his clutchand brake.

Yeah, I heard of heel-toe driving, but I never really knew what it was, so I did a little research:

Hope that helps.

Years ago they put a "pedal-cam" in Ricky Rudd's stock car for a road coarse race. It was more fun to watch him dance on the pedals than it was to watch the actual race.

Thanks guys, I always thought that, "blipping" was called rev matching and I was getting a few things mixed up. Sorry for confusion.
