black out grill question

my car is obsidian black and i want to paint my grill body colour but i am worry about stone chips. people that paint there grills, do u have problem with the paint chipping off very easily?

I wouldnt say it chips easily, but it does.

even if a body shop preps it and paints it like any other body part?

yep. Basically you're gonna paint over the chrome, it's not the best.

it's going to get about the same amount of rock chips, as the front bumper and hood.

Expect it, no matter how well they prep and primer. You can't do much about it, except maybe wrap it (each individual slat) in 3M or EXPEL clear layer.
