Rear Foglamp Problem!

Check your rear foglamps! I tested them out today and noticed the rear right-hand side lamp doesn't work, only the left-hand side ones light up.

How's it like on your Coupe?

Same on all MB and most Euro cars. Left only. (RTFM, pg. 349, "Exterior Lamps")

There is a button "search" in the top right corner of your screen - click on it, then type "fog lights" and click "perform search"

I understand the concept behind the rear foglamp......but don't understand the city light concept. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.

I'm thinking about wiring the other side for the rear foglight too. Will post it when I do that. (and no no I'm not turn that on all the time)

one of my coworker's did that on his saab 9-3 (despite my protest). he couldn't deal w/ the asymmetry.

I feel him, I deal with it by not turning it on.

You guys ever notice that your daytime running lights flashes several times after you remove your keys from the ignition?

I'm assuming you're talking about the safety feature that turns on the light when you lock/unlock the car at night so you won't trip and break your neck. You can turn that off by going into the system settings menu off the steering wheel controls. I'm sure the rest is self-explanatory.

No that is not what I am talking about. I don't quite remember how it goes but if you stick your key into the ignition but you don't turn it, your running lights will "blink" several times.

Try it.

Yes, when you put the key in the ignition but don't turn it on immediately the the lights, including the instrument lights flash five or six times.

Lynn, you have any idea why it does that? What purpose does it serve to blink 5-6 times?

To draw your attention to the fact that you forgot your key in the ignition lock.
