red and silver look alright as a combo. However NOT for a grill. On the mars red, black is honestly the best way to go around it. Personally, only silver wheels are the only part that can be pulled off well and still flow nicely. Go with the black grill and the cf lip as well.

resurrecting...

Resurrecting a 7 month old post here. Here is a picture of my car with a black cl grill. Also shown is the before shot.

What do you guys think?

a. Ok with the black CL grill.
b. Dump the Black CL grill and put on a Silver CL grill.
c. Go stock.

I always say do what' makes you happy, I'm stuck on this one. Feedback will be gladly appreciated.

BTW, I already have the Euroteck CF lip, jut haven't had time to install it, so keep that in mind too (use your imagination, or not).

Thanks again.

The new grill is a very minor improvement on the red color. It's so black that I think it makes the radiator grill look a part of the AMG bumper.

Personally, this is what I would do, if I could return the new grill without having to pay restocking fees and go back to the stock grill, I'd possibly do that.

Don't get me wrong, the new grill looks nice, but I just think it's a very minor improvement and therefore might not entirely be cost effective. Plus, it looks almost a bit Audi-ish (which isn't a bad thing) with this new grill.

Just my opinion.

I vote silver!

get a black grill only if u have black rims or tinting ur tails black.

a red car, with silver rims, red tails would look weird if all of a sudden black grill pops out.

just my .02

I know you've decided to go with silver, but I say on a mars red car, the "meanest" look is a flat black painted OEM grille. Or color matched OEM grille on the outside, with the inserts black.

I would go black, but not the CL grille. I personally like the look with the stock grille and flat hood ornament. It really highlights the front facia, which I think is very nice.

I just blacked out my grill last month, looked pretty dope with the gloss and flat black contrast of the grill. I ll take some pics of how it looks with the CF lip.

i second that. I like the black grill (preferably with silver edge) but no CL style.
