Talking Pictures of my racer

Hello guys. I haven't done any mods to my C lately, so I thought I'd post a few pictures of my other ride...one you can't ride around on the streets. Unless you wanna get squashed by larger vehicles, that is

Anyways, it's an Arrow AX8 competition kart equipped with a Rotax Max 125cc engine. The picture of the Alfano (timer) shows my fastest lap time around the track yesterday - 56.97 sec (my personal record so far ). The 13.15 number on the right shows the maximum revs reached on that lap - 13,150 RPM.

Excuse the bad quality pictures. Taken with my phone camera, as usual.

I have a friend that in times was racing in kart, and was a very expensive sport
+-5000€ per weekend (including acomodations and others), kart is not the major cost, but each engine and tires in all racing weekends, and dont forget the kart gas

Thanks guys. Yeah, karting is extremely fun. With the 2-stroke engine combined with the kart's low weight, the acceleration you feel is greater than most road cars out there.

Brand new with engine is around USD 4,000. Like gaeix mentioned, buying the kart is the cheapest part. Tires cost USD 155 for a set of 4. The medium compound Bridgestones that I use for practice last about 100 laps - which is about 2 days' worth of driving.

Joining competition would cost a lot more as you'll need to transport your kart and equipment to the venue, need at least double of everything (chasis, engines, tires, chains, etc), hiring of mechanics, food, accomodation, etc.

But you just can't beat the fun factor
