Hi I have a c230 coupe, and I dont have the C7 package. Does this still have a sport package in regards to the suspension setup and lowering of the car ? What is the difference in inches between the one with C7 and one without it ? I plan on putting 18's on the car and I understand that it must be dropped. I know their are coilovers but some of the setups are well over a grand. So whats the best way I should go about doing this ? Would getting some lowering sports springs to drop it by 2in would that work ? I think someone was mentioning that it could mess up the stock shocks and suspensions, that why I wanted to know if non C7 package does it have the setup to suport this method with just getting springs ? Also I would like a staggered setup. 18X7.5 18X8.5 or 18X8.5 18X9.5 does it make a difference ? I want a 1-3inc lip. Please give me some advice. Thanks

of course you can. but coilovers will give you the exact drop you want.
if you aren't too picky about drop height, you can go with springs & shocks.

It doesn't need to be dropped, works fine on the standard setup.

No I was going to drop it like 1.5-2inches with 18's on it. I dont want there to be any rubbing issues. Plus it looks nicer.

Why the heck did you start this thread and then turn around and reply to an older thread?

Next time, use the search, find older threads first (you'll always be able to find an older thread first), post in there.

If you don't get any responses there, PM someone that seems to be knowledgable about the subject.

Drexappeal.....
Drex,

Why are you slamming people all the time? Your arrogance, with out reason, is not good for your integrity. We all know you have ALOT of knowledge but come on quit slamming each person just because you know more than them. Help them out as that is what they are here for, even me.

my 2 cents

Drex is without a doubt one of the more even tempered members here.

Not trying to flame you but lets look at post count, their worth in contributions, etc. I'm sure that with his experience on this board he has fair knowledge of who, what, when and where. Look at the posters he is talking to; smart enough to use the search function to resurrect old threads, but at the same token asking the same questions that already have been answered in other threads (easily found through the same search procedure).
Therefore, if it looks fishy to him, he will have a good reason.

Wow, okay, didn't even see this.

Sorry, picked the absolute WRONG guy to mess with on this forum.

amdeutsch already gave you a little something, but I'm gonna defend myself here. Why am I slamming people? Well, for one, when I first came on this board, you know what my first thread was? I introduced myself and made it clear to EVERYBODY that I wasn't a lazy *** that didn't know how to use the search function, that I was familiar with the "proticol" on message boards and am more than willing to PM VETERANS of the message board before starting rediculously redundant threads! So I slam people that start threads like this because unlike them, I was willing to READ the forum. SEARCH for the things I didn't know about the board. Belive me, I READ A LOT before I even posted my first thread here.

2nd, My arrogance? WTF? You obviously haven't searched through all my posts before. You'll see that in A LOT of my posts, I'm a "newbie" friendly person. I go OUT OF MY WAY to help newbies. Let me ask you this, what significance have you contributed to this message board in your 4 MONTHS OF MEMBERSHIP? What have I contributed, you may ask? Well, let's see: 1) Compiled a list of aftermarket body kits available for the w203 2) Organized multiple threads into one thread which IS the AFTERMARKET MODS/DIY thread that is stickied at the top of this forum. 3) Took time out of my hectic schedule (3, 2 day stints - 6 days total during the week, not weekend) to do the R&D with TEIN, USA for the S-Tech springs, TEIN Basic and Super Street coilovers for the w203 C230 K SS. I even offered the opportunity up to those that may be able to do it (1st), since I wasn't sure I would be able to devote enough time. I think, with those things alone, I should deserve a little more RESPECT. If it comes off as arrogant, sorry, but there are a lot of veterans that are A LOT harsher than I am. And if that is ruining my "integrity" on this board, that sure doesn't mean that much from someone that has only been a member of this message board for 4 MONTHS.

Look, the last people that gave me ish for what I do on these boards got ripped. I suggest you take back your words, search through all my OLD posts where I would help people tremendously...

It's okay, no need to apologize. I'm done. Don't need to justify myself anymore, cuz if you want to make enemies on this board, one of the worst things you could've done was come at ME like this.

Thanks for the support, dawg. You know me though. I never slam people for unjustified reasons. And even if this is c230_617, I thought I was helping by letting him know that it's better to bring out older relevant threads than to start a new one.

I guess some newbies still don't understand that concept (at the same time, I did...so maybe I'm just unique like that).

I absolutely agree with amdeutsch. Drex has to be one of the best members in treating newbies with respect and is extremely informative.

Furthermore, benz_ster IS c230_617. He has taken no steps to deny the accusations and is up to his old MO by starting threads like this, opening up his old threads, editing and deleting incriminating comments, etc.

as for SwedeMercedes, I highly doubt that you know what is going on with the board and the history of our notorious troll c230_617 and the many positive contributions Drex has made to make the statement that you did.
