can you post that big picture of the C230K engine from car-action.com? i can only find the one you added text to in a pulley thread and i'd like to find a picture without the added text. car-action is in korean so that's not an option

there's no BOV on a supercharger... unless i'm retarded.

there is no BOV, just a bypass valve located inside the unit itself.

It's part of the SC itself. It's the silvery-colored thing linking the SC to the back of the air-filter housing.

These all seem wrong. I looked at the 1.8 last night and while facing the car from the front with the hood up, the air intake goes to the left, not straight down like it shows in the pix. The spacing on some of the pulleys looks right, but for some reason the intakes are wrong.

Perhaps the US spec engines came with a different intake?

Oops. Sorry about that. I have two files saved on my computer, one says "2.3 Kompressor cross section" and one says "cdi cross section." Guess what? They're the same file! I must have screwed it up when I was orignially saving them. Doh! I don't remember where they came from either; originally they were from car-action.com but I didn't get them there - and am unable to decipher that site (it's Korean) to find the 2.3L motor cutaway on there.

nah i just really like this kind of precision artwork and photography. i'm a big fan of the human mind and technology and i don't think there's a better expression of what humans are capable of than the pictures of engine evolution.

where do you get all of these anyway?

I told you, I go to the dealers lot when they are not looking remove the motor, cut it to pieces and take pictures. OK, you're not buying that, I get the from MBSpy.com.
