No, seriously, that'll only add weight. Why do that?

Chrome looks really bad with a lot of brake dust. And I believe they are a lot of work to keep looking nice. Why not just put the money towards some new wheels instead and sell yours ?

viper: that what I try to do here so I can get some 19"

You probably don't want to chrome your wheels because I've done it but I would do it again and again. I think it really adds something to some color cars like black. If I had a silver car like yours Timmy, I wouldn't do it.
As for brake dust, the chrome, because it's constantly reflecting, you don't see the dust as easily. The 16" wheels are a very light gray and it shows dust very quickly, worse than the 17" c7 wheels.
As for the price, I wish I can get it done for $250. I paid $700 exhanged at the dealer.

could anyone photoshop a gunmetal gray onto the rims?
Super Member
actually, does anybody know the price for powder coating the stock rims white?
i'd like to powder coat the rims to match the color of the car body.

Wish I could get my C7 rims chromed for US$250, I would do it in a flash. I like chromed rims.

Chrome with black laurel centers works on my black 320. I use a non abrasive cleaner/protectant and only need to clean...pure water on a rag followed by a buffing cloth...every 300 miles. Porterfield pads help.

Buelwinkle ... your rims look nice... I think a silver C that is lowered so that they tuck slightly would look very nice... I will post pics when I get everything done.

Sorry, those are rims at the dealer, not mine. Mine are the 16" but I didn't have a picture handy.
