Hubs spacers or not.!!

where do you know if the spacers you got are hubscentric or not hubscentric?!

I got 5 mm H&R spacers and put them on in my car. I felt the vibration big time!!!

Is there any solution for that beside not using them...??

Thanks in advance...

Can someone who can help jump on this? The part number is 1055665, and he could feel the vibration over 60mph. He put it on the back, does someone with 5mm h&r spacers also experiencing the same problem?

Try to get some loctite between the hub and the spacers (on these occasions it seems to help) - I know it sucks, but most of the time people with spacers in general usually end up with vibrations. I and other owners of brabus wheels are fortunate to have brabus-centric spacers in which they bolt-on directly to the wheel...if every wheel manufacturer went this route, no one would be complaining :\.

I put 15mm H&R on the front and it was fine, no vibration watsoever, just make sure the allignment, balancing is correct. I notice that in the rear hub, there is not much space for the spacer to sit on, it could be the problem. Loctite solution seems good.

Make sure you screw the bolts in right order to 110->120NM.

I run 20mm all arround no vibrations at all.

Best Regards.

I should probably tell u that the first time i got them spacer, my car did vibrate at 60mph and during heavy braking, then i had my service and need replacement on two of the bushing, i assume they reallign my car as well after that. My car feel smooth after having the service, there is absolutely no vibration.

You got me all curious. Bought H&R 5mm spacers 3 months ago, have not used them for the C32 AMG 17" wheels. Thought I'd give it a try and report some news. Unfortunately I'm feeling some vibration, can get irritating on long trips. Called H&R spacers, and they said it's probably due to incorrect bolts or unbalanced tires, and they gave me more bull **** issue. However, they advised me to place the spacers with the entire flat portion to the wheel. If you take a close look on the H&R spacers, one end is perfectly flat and the other has a little cave in portion in the middle of the ring/hole. Although I highly doubt this will fix the problem.

Those cave on the spacer are the hubcentric ring, it suppose to hold the wheels when in motion thus eliminating vibration. Didn't they supply u with the correct bolt in the first place?? Before dissmissing the spacer you should check out other issue that may amplify the vibration, such as unbalanced tires, allginment issue or other things. Now those with H&R spacers, did they fit the first time u got them?? Mine didn't and have to machine it a couple of times.

I'm telling you guys - wheels with their specific spacers, the only way to fly...unless you have custom spacers made for JUST the front (they're the problematic as H&R doesn't expect you to use them in the rear only).

So, for the 5mm H&R spacers, we have to place the spacers with the flat side facing out not facing in to the rotor...Is that correct?

Ok, I work on aircraft and this is what little I know. I have the H&R spacers and this is how I installed them with no vibration. First the flat side should go to the out side, the bevel is there becausr if you look at the hub there is a slight radious and if you put the flat toward the hub it can become slightly off center. next with the wheel up on jacks using a good torque wrench start torqueing the bolts in a star patern with 25ft pounds. then increase this about 20-25 pounds a few times. then lower your car and do the final torque of 95 pounds with the wheel and tire on the ground. This should insure the wheel is as centered on the hub as it can be. The H&R 5mm spacers are not centric becuase they are to thin. When you get into the thicker spacers with the ridge that allows the wheel to rest on while installing them. That is what is ment by centric. I dont know if this will help, but I hope it does something besides taking up space. As for where this info comes from try messing up a jet engine that spins at 24000 rpm's, talk about vibration
