The New RSX vs. C230..
Hi guy's. My question is which of these car's are quicker at 1/4.RSX or the Benz C230?? Now everyone here is talking about a pulley kit for the c230. With this pulley setup and a 75hp nitrous kit is this car capable of hitting low 13's at the track?? I am new to this forum and sold my Mustang GT that ran 12's at the track to get this car, so i miss that power i had in the GT. I don't want to loose to the Integras or the RSX's on the streets. What so i have to do to put some HP in this car really quick.

The car to get is the Subaru Impreza WRX. Car & Driver claims 0-60 in 5.4 and the quarter in 14.1. With a chip, exhaust and intake it will be in the 13s and with nitrous 12s are likely. Faster, better handling, quieter, more comfortable and shifts very nice compared to the Acura or C-Coupe. Would have gotten it but MB dealer offered free car washes and that sold me.

I never really considered the RSX a real sports car, as it is front wheel drive. On top of that, Acura decided not to give it the front differential they have in the Type R in Japan.
The WRX was a different story. It really had my attention for a while and I strongly considered it. To the point I had almost ordered one. Then I noticed the MB came with dual-zone AC, so I changed my mind.
All joking aside. If the C230K did not exist, I'd have bought a Subaru WRX Wagon. It is a pretty hot car, though somewhat 'raw' which might be exactly what you seek.
I had no problem comparing the Benz to that. It most definitely IS a true sports car. It is a true rear-wheel drive, has a peppy engine (which beats my Mazda Miata, my current driver), and the shifter is very short and I found it quite precise. Sure, not the raw toggle feel of an RSX shifter, but I'm not sure I like that anyways. I have a 35 minute commute every day and a little luxury doesn't hurt.

black on black 2k2-230k auto/c1/c5/c7/k2c/COMAND/TELEAID/Stage II HIDS
the coupe runs a 0-60 anywhere from 7.2-8.0, stock
the rsx runs a 0-60 anywhere from 6.5-7.1, stock
so if you lined em up with comparable drivers, the rsx is gonna bust it up, but on the street, anything can happen.
as nice as the rsx is, when your driving it, you cant help but shake the feeling you have an upscale honda civic.
i guess i would rather drive a down market mercedes then an upmarket honda

C230K Coupe/Orion/C4/C5/CD/AMG Spoiler/V60/TeleAid, 2 MGB's
Coming from an Eagle Talon TSi, I was looking for a good replacement that wouldn't step down in features or safety. The only comprimise I had to make was the All Wheel Drive. MB makes up for that with ESP...
I considered the Subaru, but it really, REALLY bothered me when they discontinued the coupe and went to a 4 door or wagon only platform. Something inside wrenches every time I see a four door "sport sedan"....rice-boys included.
The Subaru that I tested was like a rocket...only problem is: rockets explode. The way I see it, the WRX is a car just begging to detonate. They've maxed out performance, which by laws of physics and reason, will probably result in a less than reliable long term relationship. That, combined with two extra doors and the horrible seats in the WRX....was enough to make me cringe as I left the dealership.
Mitsubishi was another consideration, but they killed the AWD Eclipse two years ago.
So I took the plunge, demographics aside, and I like the C230 for all it's offerings.

CLK 430 Coupe + MGF + 1980 Camaro
pulleys and nitrous...
try it... i am going to in the spring... will give you more power than c32 lowdown ( remember gain from nitrous is rev-independant) not quite as much at the top end... dont forget that the nitrous lowers the inlet temp so in theory you may get out (in bhp terms) more than you put in...
