First post on the board.
I received my star in the mail today. Very fast shipping and it looks awesome.
I will post some pics when I get it installed.
It will be going on a 2005 Black C230 Kompressor.

Shameless X-Mas bump...
Guys, I realize you are buying gifts for others for the Holidays, but you should remember to treat yourself to a WHITE STAR Flat Badge as well. Contact me at DFWdude@tx.rr.com for details.

WHITE STAR hog! LOL, just kidding.
I wish I could resume sending these abroad, but I simply can't afford to, because I can't take off work to stand "on queue" at the local post office to process the customs paperwork. Also, I can't track them to be sure they are delivered.

I'm talking about production number 240 or less that I'm hoping for. Why would anyone pay hundreds of dollars for a hood emblem? teheheh

WHITE STAR Flat Badge Maintenance (if needed)
To keep your WHITE STAR Flat Badge nice and shiny white, a handful of members have written me to recommend the following products. You may already have these mag wheel cleaners in your car wash kit. A tin is about $4-$5 at your local auto store.
The Mothers product works especially well. Just put a dollup on the white star inlays, let sit for a couple minutes then wipe off. Minimal rubbing needed.
Minimize contact with the blue laurel wreath areas… these are in blue LACQUER, so the cleaners should not mar them. But I’d steer clear just to be sure.
I’ve been testing to find the right products, but thanks to members for these leads. Of course, this only applies to the few of you with Badges showing any wear... the vast majority are seeing none...

my badge appeared very yellowed (bought it used), but cleaned up to a bone white appearance. i used MMP and followed up with a carnuba wax to seal it some.
fantastic results (even better when you remove the badge and get it done)

Thanks for the pic, esemes. Many of you will have Mothers Mag polish on hand, anyways, so just remember to put a dab on your WHITE STAR if you (ever) notice any fading.
BTW, I am not aware that color fading is a problem with more than a handful of WHTIE STARs. Most seem to have no issues at all. It's impossible to predict, due to the infinite environmental variables that your car is subjected to (garaged or not, northern or southern sun exposure, car wash frequency, etc.).

I have received some PMs from members complaining they are having difficulty finding this thread. Until the Search Function is tweaked into something useful, I think I will make this one a STICKY for a while...

I was out of town for a few days when it came in. Just put it on today. It looks great. I think especially with the curves of the 203 body having the white star badge on it looks way sportier and less pretentious. It looks great thanks for the fast shipping.
snapped a couple pics with the phone my car color is pewter btw
