NEW Mercedes-Benz White Star Flat Hood Badge for C-Class W203!
I wasn't able to fully lock it all the way. I twisted it clockwise, but couldn't make it go all the way 90 degrees. Did any of you have the same problem?

yeah, just slightly off, but it won't go anywhere, it's still locked on.

If you could turn it completely, then a certain number of stars would fit loosely. I test fit every WHITE STAR Flat Badge on my C, and none of them completely twist 90 degrees. So, JDM is right. As long as the lock effectively pinches the badge to the hood you are good to go.
Looking good, ikkoku!

They look so much better than the OEM ones. If you ever get around to trying to do something for the coupes, I'm in for one.

They look so much better than the OEM ones. If you ever get around to trying to do something for the coupes, I'm in for one.1) There's no through hole in the hood like on the Sedan
2) More important, there is an unsightly "dirt ring" just under the outer edge of the regular Coupe Badge. It's covered by this badge, but exposed with any smaller diameter one. My assumption is no one will want to stare at that ugly ring.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Also I'm thinking that the outer ring you use from the upright star can't easily be removed from it's mounting bracket and attached to the mounting bracket for the OEM coupe badge.
Let me know if I'm right.

I'd like to see pictures of more cars with this new mod, on cars of different colors especially. Anybody with a Mars red have one of these White Star badges?

I only spoke to him for about 30 seconds (sorry, I was running late for a meeting). I wish I could have gotten more details. I don't think I will see him again today, but I probably will in the next few days.
Slim Pickens, I was wondering when someone would get ideas for individualizing these stars. Interesting idea!

1) Black touch-up paint
2) Clear coat spray
ta-da...
Guys, I'm a semi-retired machinist, not a painter. I chose the White Star on the silver background to be compatible with all color cars. You're welcome to play with these all you want, but I don't have the skills (or time) to do this work myself.
That said, there is one color that I like alot...

much appreciated!
Periodically, I run into supply problems acquiring OEM Upright stars to convert. This means I sometimes have to keep lists of requests. To do this fairly, I ask folks to communicate only through my e-mail, so I can keep requests on a first-come basis, compiled in one place. I think everyone will understand this. I'll try to respond promptly. Thanks.
