Just got my badge today and installed it within seconds. I like it very much. Will post a photo when I get a chance to. Have you guys tried out the Klass All-in-One? Although I just got my car last week I figured I'd try it. It's pretty nice... I applied it all over literally... It works on glass, plastic and the chrome trim too...

Rob,
Yup got mine and just installed it. Changes the look on my E55 wagon right away..... the wife loves it, although we installed at night, but it helps the lines on the car so much more than the upright star.
Once i get a chance i'll post pics on the E55 forum... ours is a flint grey metallic... and can't wait to see it in the morning.
Thanks again Rob for the speedy deliverly....you ROCK!!!

Another avenue for purchasing the white star metal emblem
I recently ordered the flat white star emblem from www.evosport.com. They make a metal star, not a plastic one. Just installed it on my silver E in about 10 seconds. It is exactly what I wanted. Not sure how the price compares to DFW...I really wanted it so I paid the $110 price. For me it was worth it to spend the extra $ over a plastic one that won't last.

maybe but that must mean that production rates must have increased. or Evosport is doing an order only thing and they will be made once ordered.

I sold a couple to evosport last October. I guess they are finally getting around to selling them.
Not true. The four (4) WHITE STAR Flat Badges sold to evosport and a local Dallas dealer have a different serial number sequence from the 139 purchased directly from me.
I have no more parts to make additional WHITE STAR Flat Badges, for direct sale or through dealers. I am concentrating on a new job atm that has taken all of my free time. Until I feel I can master the new job, production is suspended. If/when I find time and interest to resume, you guys will be the first to know.

Evosport White Flat Emblem - Metal vs. Plastic
I recently ordered the flat white star emblem from www.evosport.com. They make a metal star, not a plastic one.
My prayers have hopefully been answered. Keeping my fingers crossed that there is still some available.
Update - They are out and waiting for DFWDude. DFWDude, please reconsider producing more.

There has been a slight increase in price since last July, to cover increases in cost for parts and materials and the pending US postal rate increase next month. The price is still less than a Shop Dipstick Tool, and infinitely more attractive.
Beyond that, I will not discuss pricing here. Please write an e-mail to me instead. Thanks.

New flat hood badge....
.....from DFWdude.
The quality on this badge is spectacular. This is the best badge that I have ever seen. Sorry for the bad pic but I was in my garage with crappy lighting.
Awesome addition to any car IMO.
Thanks again DFWdude.

The price includes Priority Mail shipping, PayPal fees, packaging, and Dude's excellent service, etc. You don't expect these to come free, do you?
Aside from the cheap plastic SLK star that fades beyond recognition, this badge is just about the cheapest mod anyone can make to any Mercedes. Think about it. MB mods are just not cheap, period.
BTW, unless I'm mistaken, this badge will not fit on your COUPE, anyway. It only fits the sedans with the upright star divot in the hood.

I aim to please.
Fellas, maybe I overvalue my work, but WHITE STAR Flat Badges are not made by the tens of thousands in some factory. I make each, one-at-a-time. It's somewhat labor intensive, so to reimburse for my time in the price, I label each one with a serial number to add value by making them somewhat collectible.
There are less than 150 of these on the planet, atm. So, aside from being one of the cheapest appearance mods you can buy for your Mercedes sedan, I submit it's also one of the most exclusive. I hope most of you agree.

This badge is actually perfect for me. I didn't want the plastic badge b/c I didn't want it sticking out of the hood and possibly scratching the paint, nor did I really like the notion of having to replace it every so often b/c it fades. I wanted something high quality, that fit flush and looked amazing--that's exactly what I got with the added bonus of being exclusive. (You pay $30 or so for the plastic badge that you have to change every so often that doesn't even look good; so to me, getting something that I'm perfectly happy with completely warrants adding the slight premium.)
To be honest, at first, I too was somewhat taken aback by how much it was. However, when I got it and especially now, I feel like it's one of the most worthwhile mods I've done and that for the price, it was completely worth it.
This badge will most likely go on every MB that I own in the future from the very first day of delivery--it's held up great! Maybe I'm biased, and maybe it's b/c I have badge number 003, but I'm still lovin it!
