Hit a Sign
Today, while driving to a friends house, I was making a turn, that is basically a 90 degree angle turn... This was just after it drizzled, so the oil + rain + w/e else on the road was out... So while taking the turn, I pressed the accelerator while leaving out of the turn, and my back end slipped... Basically ended up driving me off the road into a one of the turn signs... However, I did get lucky, in that I didn't go through the fence that was also right there... I'll post pictures tomorrow...
Damages:
1) The grille covering the fog light (passenger side)
2) Bumper: dent / color (ADDED: how much is a new bumper?)
3) Maybe back driver side tire, not really sure, but it seems to wobble
4) Steering wheel is shaky, probably because of number 3

1. I think the grills that fit into the front bumper come as a set. So you might have to buy all three.
2. I expect the front bumper to cost around $2k for the part, painting, and installation.
3. The rear driver side tire or wheel? If it's the tire that's gone off, that's fine, but if you hit the wheel hard on the curb or slid into the curb with your rear wheel then you may have damaged the axle or some other components.
4. I don't know.
Good luck.

Get the bumper cover repaired....there's a chain of shops that specialize in doing the bumper covers. They're made out of plastic/rubber and even when torn they can be fixed to look like new. About $500. Just make sure what's under the cover is OK in case you need to use it again. I thought driving on slick roads was an LA problem

for some reason this stuff is being ****... i tried to post before and it didn't work, but at least this time it did... but now it HAS to be 800 x 600 and it won't let me post 600 x 800, so you will have to deal with it... =]

man, that sucks! I hope you can get everything straightened out.
and if they sell the bumper mesh in packs of left and right, since you only need the right side, I'll split it with you b/c I need the left side...
good luck!

did you have your ESP off? i have a feeling you were trying to do a quick u-turn drift.....
seriousy though, i could be in the rain, on oil, turn my steering wheels all the way and floor it with ESP on and it wont whip the tail out.

there was water standing in the area where you accelerated. youre tires couldnt clear all the water below the tire and thats where you lose ALL your grip. also when you start accelerating the weight distrubution moves to the back since its RWD and you lose steering power.
