hey for all you wondering about the 05-06 sport models, they do have a resonator and i went to a local muffler shop and had it pulled and replaced with a straight pipe, sound is only amplified a little. i noticed it jumps a little more off the line and revs a tad quicker to 4k and after 4k it roars to redline with a nice rumble, its not a huge difference, but enough for a tasteful growl and definitely gives a nice sporty but not ricey sound to the v6, and its not too loud and doesnt drone on the fwy. i think after i slap in some k/n's or green filters this things gonna sound pretty sweet, but im satisfied for now.

So....now your 30k sports sedan sounds like it's suffering from Oktoberfest beer flatulance?

we arent talking about your mothers bad habits...i simply am jus updating some ppl on what it is like to remove the resonator on the v6 c230, a lot of ppl are wondering what its like, and some thought that the sports sedans dont have a resonator, and also havent tried to do it themselves. thanks for your wonderful feedback tho

can u put up some sound clips? I bet it does sound alittle more throaty. Myself and lots of other members from E46fanatics have had the resonators removed on our 330's and 325's and it does give a slightly more aggressive and deeper growl. I didn't really notice an improvement in performance however. I'd like to hear what it sounds like on the 2.5L in your ride though. I'm sure it sounds sweet

i wish i had a camcorder or else i would..maybe ill get my friend to get some vids of me doing 1st gear runs, i know its not a huge mod or anything but i was rolling home from the gym with my windows down and i smashed thru the gears a couple of times and the sound is so nice, the growl paired with the dual intake whistles is amazing, cant wait to get my filters in to see if it breathes a little better.
