Talking NewBie;) Brakes, and exhaust recommendation

Hi forum,

I want to experience new modding for my C240, I'm considering myself new to Mercedes "Modding" World, I own this c240 for almost 3 years, and just recently I did some mods, such as:

Exterior:
Windows Tinting
AMG spoiler
Brabus Monoblock VI 19x8.5 and 19x9.5
H&R Spring
Bi-Xenon Lamp (4000k)
PowerChip (ECU)

Interior
I did the sound system:
1 pair Dynaudio 240MKII (front) and Dynaudio 260GT (rear)
Pioneer Navigation set (Avic-6500dvd and Avic 80)
2 Orion HCCA competition @ 2x75W (the old one "red")
AudioControl 2 EQT and 1 EQL
Bazzooka RS 10" Sub

I need help in deciding a big brake kit and exhaust recommendation, that is not too expensive but has reliable performance, any recommendation is very much appreciate it

Thanks

Get the C32 AMG brakes, about $650 from a place that discounts MB parts. For a cheap exhuast mod, remove the resonator, that will make a little more throatier.

Thanks for the recommendation, could you please tell me where I can find a discount MB part, i.e. the brake that you told me? A brand name and price for exhaust & resonator recommendation will be much appreciate it.

for the exhaust, you can go with remus, which performs well and is affordable, or you can get a nice eisenmann, weltmiester or supersprint

for the brakes, c32 brakes are a great deal, but they weigh a ton. if you want light ones, go with brembo GT or stoptech

I heard Stop tech is quite reasonable for the upgrade, does any of the MBworld sponsor provide it? and I'm kindna new so where I can find all the MBworld sponsors?

BTW BadAssC230k does the pulley system made a lot of difference to your car? how about the intake? Could you please recommend me some air intake?

Thanks

P.S. The lowest price for Brembo GT that I found = $3000, is it expensive? Or I can find a better deal then that? If I do where?

Would you be able to tell me where you got the Bi-Xenon head lamp kit?

Your help is greatly appreciated...

carlab can get you some amg brakes. its not bad for the price to increase your stopping power to 4-piston calipers and cross drilled rotors. stoptech is good, but minus well save a little more and get brembos!

as for exhaust eisenmann is usually what everyone gets. remus is a lot cheaper, but will take a long time because of shipping. depends how patient you are. there's always the regular MB tuners such as brabus, lorinser, and carlsson exhaust as well.

the sponsors are are above. click on advertiser index and it will bring up all the sponsors. basically shopping around and searching online is another way. it's as simple as using google, ebay, and yahoo and it should bring up some sites.

May I ask for some personal feedbacks on your Powerchip mod? Significant change to the car?

You really can't go wrong with Brembo big brake kits. They are the world standard in braking innovation, quality and performance. You can order them with various caliper colors to match the theme of your car as well as in various caliper sizes (4 piston/pot, 6 piston etc...) If you are interested, we can give you a quote for both the front and rear. You may just want to start out with the front and do the rears later, it's totally up to you and of course your budget.

As for exhausts, there are plenty of choices out there. One popular recommendation is the Eisenmann exhaust. They tend to give off a nice growl without causing the annoying drone that is so characteristic of automatic cars with exhausts. Again, we can quote you pricing on those too.

Look forward to seeing what you do with the ride. You already have an awesome start!

Well the power chip does make a lot of difference for C240 (V6 engine) but as for C230 (kompressor ver.) does make a difference but not as much as the V6 engine. Hope this help

If you want to get a BBK, I highly suggest an OEM C32 AMG upgrade. Its basically a Brembo Lotus 4 pot calipers. Nice oversize drilled rotors and for the price, you can't get any other kit better than this.

For exhaust, you can get eisenmann, very well priced and sound very nice. You can hear sound clips and video at www.eisenhaus.com

We can get you all the parts, just pm or call us direct at 408 718 2986.

Thank You

All rite guys thanks for all the recommendations, I really appreciated it.

My old modification:
Exterior:
Windows Tinting
AMG spoiler
Brabus Monoblock VI 19x8.5 and 19x9.5
H&R Spring
Bi-Xenon Lamp (4000k)
PowerChip (ECU)

Here is the modification that I just did/add today and yesterday:
My original shocks are dead so I just upgrade the entire suspension to H&R coil over (Love it how it handle), as result old H&R spring is up for sale
Painted my calliper (red)
MY EXHAUST.. EISENMANN from Leo (love the sound and how it looks)
change my old foglight to the new clear foglight..
change my rear tire (Pirelli p zero nero)
change my inner Bi-xenon lights to blue instead of yellow

I need somewheel alignment though

I might changed the fog lights to xenon hid-kit, but waiting to accumulate the budget ;p. I will post the car Soon...
