Heres a new and interesting topic.... I have seen the AMG kits on sale on Performanceproducts.com for the W203 sedans.

Has anyone installed these on their car? It basically ends up looking much like a C32. I think the kit makes the car look a whole lot sportier.

What do you think?

I know the cost of the kit but what is the price of painting and installing the pieces once you order the kit? And yes it's worth it if you can afford it.

of course it'll ends up looking like the C32. it is a AMG bodykit, they are all the same. DON'T DO IT....NAH I'm just kidding.

if you do, make sure you got the matching AMG rims too, and do not take off the original C240/C320 badge or put on the AMG badge because that would draw some laughter.

anyway, just my suggestion. it is your car.

btw i didn't vote because it is really a personal opinion thing. you can't say it is a must have. you can't say it doesn't do anything too.

I dont think the kit on the pics is a genuine AMG kit. Look at Pic A, the edges are "rounder" than the AMG kit on the C32.

that picture i believe is originally from the Mercedes-Benz AMG website.

You guys think they (the front air dam) look the same? How come the rear bumper does not have muffler/muffler openings?

For as much as kits are talked about on this site I figure that one person might know the answer to the above question. Supposedly the painting and installation can cost more than some kits. Anybody??

I think the whole kit costs around US$2300. I dont think installation and painting will cost as much. I would say, about half.

Here is some information which hopefully answers some of your questions:

Costs:
A- front bumper w/ HL washers (OE foglights incl.) Sdn/Cpe/Wgn $982

A- front bumper w/o HL washers (OE foglights incl.) Sdn/Cpe/Wgn $1,074

C- Side Skirts - Sedan/wagon $564

B - Rear Bumper (design to fit AMG exhaust) Sedan Only - $559

Painting should not cost more than $600-700.

If you would like some prices for the kit, you can try www.nrauto.com or www.autoclass.net (ask for Gaston). Cost to paint varies, depending on the shop. My body shop charges $250 for front/rear bumpers, and $100 the side skirts.

There's also two types of rear bumpers: 1 for the AMG exhaust, and 1 for the OEM exhaust.

the rear bumper does not have the muffler opening because it's made for the regular C-class, not the C32. if you order the C32 bumper you would get the opening, but they are the same bumper regardless whether or not they have the opening.

the frist two are from the MB AMG website under factory options. the the third one is from either the AMG website or the MBUSA.com
