Nein!!

AFAIK, there's been only one race clutch - Kleemann did a one-off clutch/flywheel/pressure plate combo. That did have chatter, but supposedly worked well. Of course, it was over $2k. Actually, Unorthodox did it, and I talked to the guy who did, and there are no plans to do any more. He didn't seem too interested, either. I talked to someone from Fidanza about flywheels (see my thread at the group buy section that went nowhere), so they possibly could do something, but I doubt it.

We're really SOL, and I think that my clutch is getting close to death. Sure would be nice to have other options such as a lightweight flywheel and performance clutches, but looks like that's a no, without purely custom work, which I'm not really interested in.

Thanks for the info. Any idea on how it's redesigned? I've driven the new SLK, and that clutch is buttery smooth, compared to our 02s.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's BO?

I have no clue about how was it changed, maybe just part number hehe.
But I do know that my parts manager will not sell me the old one.
OH and apparently there is service information on slave cylinder must be replaced, if they leak, so I will just buy it to be safe. Again new part number for slave cylinder was created. As well.
Sorry Backordered Germany means 3-6 business day's before delivery, usually 2 weeks in real life.

Worry about the rear diff before you start making the clutch grab harder.
