I have the screens, I like them. I got them for around $45 each from Clairparts. They are a MB factory part - any dealer would have them.
They do not roll up, but they can be unclipped if you want. Now that summer is coming to an end, I'll probably take mine off in the next few weeks, put them back on at the beginning of next summer.
Here's a pic.
and from the outside.
They do keep out the sunlight and do help keep the inside of the car cool- they are pretty dark. They also block your view out of the windows, if you are not used to properly using all three mirrors on your car, that could be annoying.

I got mine from www.clairparts.com. Factory parts for $45 each side.
They are pretty good on prices - and very good on service.

I think I read somewhere that these factory shades have clips that "bite" into your door trim where they attach, leaving a permanent mark. Is this the case??
Also, are they soft, flexible mesh or are they more rigid? How fast is removal and re-installation? Are they built or intended to be put on and off on a regular basis, or are they intended to be more semi-permanent?

Unless you modify them. The clips have unbelievably sharp teeth, and are super tight. Way more than they need to be. I completely sanded all the teeth off. They are still plenty tight enough to hold them in place, but sanding the teeth makes them dull and less tight, so they won't mark the trim.
My guess is that the clips are designed to be put on the door and left there. When you take the screens off, I guess you are supposed to leave the clips in place. That's an ugly solution, though - I prefer to take the clips off when the screens are off.
