#2. If you really, really want to get it done right, just go to AAA in Los Angeles. Ask for Pepe, he'll make sure it's done right for you at a very reasonable price.

Either way I go, the sound would still be the same right?
(i think logically it will, but just making sure)

I just put on a Brabus Sport muffler and a MagnaFlow high flow cat (not CA legal...oops)

The car sounds and feels great! (and no CEL)

I can really hear the supercharger whine at high revs and when I downshift. I'll take pics and keep playing with it haha

Yeah, but the first way will cause other issues (power problems, airflow problems, etc...).

You have 2 choices, the way that Rollinn posted or the 2nd one you posted. Those are the only two ways.

The one you posted would not cause excessive loudness. The way rollinn posted would increase the volume slightly.

that's my car there.

anyway, it also depends on what muffler/resonator you choose.

I'm doing pretty much Roland's setup...catback exhaust, single inlet, magaflow muffler, dual outlet, one on each side.

drex says that your setup and roland's setup differs in sound?

Don't/Didn't have a resonator

Now its Hi-Flo cat, pipe, Brabus Muffler (eventually replace the header and primary cat too)

Eisenmann Race W203 for sale

Smile Eisenmann Race W203 - 2x83mm - Used
Whats up guys i just took my Eisenmann Race W203 off my 2005 C230K Sedan. Looking to let someone else enjoy the beautiful sound it makes.

I have options for you guys with the mid pipe which has already been cut, so it is a bolt on near the resonator, or just the exhuast where you would have to cut the pipe on your car and use the provided clamp.

Your Call.... BTW if any one is in the Los Angeles area you are welcome to grab it. I will try to shine it up a bit and get you guys some pics.

Condition is used for about 2 2.5 year.

It sounds great, some light scratches on the button of the tips. But other then that its in great shape.....

asking for 700 or best offer........

drex says that your setup and roland's setup differs in sound?

Because it removes the resonator and the muffler is situated earlier in the piping, allowing more the sound to be muffled earlier in the airflow. By the time the sound leaves the exits, it produces a louder (more droaning) tone.

If your goal is more for the looks, go with the 2nd setup you showed. If you position the muffler like Rollin's setup, it'll be louder than the one Yeuchau and I have (as far as piping location).

Also, if you're only going for sound, you'll have to make sure that they start the piping after the resonator, instead of removing.

sup fellas...just went to AAA to get a custom catback exhaust... went with the ELITE CUSTOM SYSTEM muffler right behind the 2nd cat with mandrel bent pipes, then ran piping on both sides of the spare tire holder, then ELITE chrome (AMG looking) tips, one on each side. Paint the pipes, muffler, and trimmed the right side of the bumper. I think Pepe charged me a little too much (compared to how much Pepe charged Roland (ROLLNNN), but he said theres more piping, better airflow, cleaner look, and most importantly mandrel bent pipes. He said my setup is the most conventional though. What do you guys think?

What did he charge you? I can almost guarantee it's cheaper than you would've gotten elsewhere for what they did.

Also, your post can't be answered on "what we think" until we see pics. Without pics, our comments are irrelevant because we can't evaluate how it looks.

:werd: on what drex said.

just be happy to know that what your paying for is definitely worth it. i know i might've paid a little more, but it's hell of a lot better than when i payed for cheap at speedway.

Yeah i know for the price Pepe charged me, I can't find another place in town that can go cheaper like AAA's. I went there at 11, and they finished at 3:30, exactly when Pepe estimated the exhaust was gonna be done. He charged me $790, and that included everything I listed in the earlier post. I know it might be more expensive than ROLLNNN's setup, but i guess we have different setups...

Ill post pictures over the weekend!!! busy wid midterms this week!

BIG propz to you Roland, for the advice and everything! U the man bro!

That's not that bad at all considering all that you had done. Just to re-cap, you got the following:

- 2 mufflers
- bigger piping (re-routed for Y setup after the resonator or in that area).
- resonator delete?

That's a lot of piping and a lot of bending. Price is good, considering all the Aftermarket Euro mufflers (just mufflers) are in the 850+ range retail.

yeah, got these two small race ELITE mufflers (Pepe's recommendation). I requested the mandrel bends so that air flows better. No I didn't delete the resonator. The 05's don't have a resonator, right?

oh yeah right, Pepe (for teasing) suggested the AMG tips...LOL...and he said that I'd have to pay 1500 for the whole setup...

Yeah, it was originally 845, then I told him if I could get a little discount, and I told him I was gona pay him cash straight up, so he gave me 790. Didn't wanna go lower cuz it would make it hard on him.

pics will be up in a couple of days.

oh yeah and one thing...instead of matching the OEM stock piping size 2.5", Pepe and Louie went with the 2.25". Honestly it seems like the car runs a lot smoother and seems...a bit faster? It could be just me, but it seems like when the car changes gears, it doesnt "lag" like it used to.

He reduced the piping size? Hmmm...that sounds odd to me.
