They show a muffler for the C200 Kompressor (part #843368) but they are not 100% sure it would fit. It's $627 list price. I have a guy that I'm talking to that may be able to get it at a discount.

Supersprint lists on their webpage a "rear exhaust" (muffler) for the CL203 C230K as part #843905. It's not available yet, listed as "available soon."
Headers and the "center exhaust" piece are already available for the C230K (#843901 and #843303 respectively). They also have a section to replace the cat for the enviornmentally unfriendly, #842502. I'm sure these others pieces were developed for the older cars using the M111 2.3L motor, and the need to design the rear muffler specifically for the Coupe is why it's not available yet.
Cheers, BT

CL203 C230K headers
W202 C230K headers
When I mentioned the shorter delvelopment times, I meant that the runner lengths had already been worked out to maximize exhaust gas extraction and flow. Not that the parts were exactly the same.

hey "patronus", I am thinking about getting the AMG muffler, but I saw your post stating that the rear bumper needs to be modified to be able to install the muffler. My question is: how difficult is it to modify the rear bumper? Can any local body shop do that? Will it cost a lot for labor? Thank you for reading and sorry for a dumb question!

- AMG is a muffler only, requires cutting existing pipes and welding on this new muffler as well as modifying the bumper skirt. It is $640.
- Eisenmann is a muffler only system, weld on, modify the skirt. It is about $600.
- Brabus is $1500. That is where I stopped.
- Super Sprint seems to really engineer their systems for true performance gain rather than just sound. They require no welding and no bumper skirt mods. They sell a muffler and resonator as separate pieces, clamp together. The down side is that it is about $950 system.
The major bummer of all of this is that a customer cannot hear or feel the differences without buying and installing the system. They should post .wav files of the exaust note and graphs of HP increases on their web pages.
All of that said, I am going with the SuperSprint when it becomes available in Feb.

i have an Eisenmann and it sounds great, didn't have to touch the rear valence, and it WAS clamp on... you just have to cut the stock pipe at the right place... jam the end of your stock system into the Eisenmann and put the clamp... that's it... price isn't too bad either

Why can't you adjust exhaust volume from inside the car? On Harley's there's a company, SBD (silent but deadly) that makes such an exhaust. There's a valve in the muffler that opens it up for really loud cruising or have it closed and it's like stock.

An extreme example from a McLaren Can-Am car (those red things sticking out of the motor in the back are velocity stacks):
