I've seen (heard) Brabus, Carlsson, Remus, some custom exhausts in person and I've owned AMG myself. Brabus, Carlsson and Remus are deep and not too loud. AMG looks good but is very quiet on C240. If you want the sportiest, deepest sound, go for Eisemann.
Hope this helps

Eisenmann "rice"?

Hello,

Is the Eisenmann exhaust rice, like for example the thunder/devil exhaust that people put in japanesse cars?

I want the sportcoupe sound more, but don't know if get a remus or brabus (they are the same, aren't they?) or go to Eisenmann Race.

Right now I have a Jeep with Hi flow pipes hi flow cat, and flowmaster muffler and sounds very very good; but it's a 5200 V8 engine.

Best Regards.

I would love that sound too, but with that also needs a huge *** AMG V8 like that one is....but that is also exactly what Im looking for as well for my 230k-ss. I just gotta figure out how to explain that to my muffler shop to get that same sound

I know all is about the engine.

The questions are:

1.- Brabus and Remus Mufflers make the same sound?

2.- Which one resembles more:
a) Brabus w resonator
b) Brabus w/o resonator
c) Eisenmann Race w resonator
d) Eisenmann Race w/o resonator

Eisenman Race is extremely loud-sometimes annoying. If you consider that rice then its rice.

Not sure on the others but very, very pleased with the sound of the Remus on the 2.3...gives it a nice, subtle growl....IMO the way the car should have sounded from the factory...

ROFL.
Ruben Eisenmann race is very comparable to rice-rockets, the pitch of the exhaust is just not deep enough as is. You might want to remove the resonator to get it to a deep, less rice tone. The remus exhausts are more appropriate for your tastes I believe, as they are not too loud and the "as-is" tone is deep.

Guess you need an exhaust + puddle lights? Email me!
EDIT: ben your sig is hilarious hahahaha.

Have you ever drove one or heard one in pesron? If Eisenmann Race is not deep, then I don't know what is deep. I've heard Remus in person, it is no where close to the deep pitch as the Eisenmann. Also, removing the resonator makes Eisenmann louder, but does not change the same deep pitch. I've tried it on my car so I know. Eisenmann Race+no resonator would be way too loud so I had to put the resonator back on.

To Ruben:
No it is not rice at all. I really hate seeing ricy stuff/sound on a German car. Eisenmann sounds completly like a "German" car. Super deep and sporty, and make your car sounds like it has 400 HP :P Please note there are two versions of Eisenmann exhaust, sport performance and race performance. Sport performance is a quieter version since Race performance is kinda loud. If Eisenmann Race can produce this powerful deep sporty sound from my weak-*** C240 engine, I believe it will sound even better on C230s, C320s and AMGs.

Yes, my friend. I've gone through the entire spectrum of exhausts made for our cars from: Brabus (made by Remus), Remus, Eisenmann Race 83mm, carlsson quad, then 2 seperate custom quad setups. Only setup I've not tried is probably the Weltmeister. The Eisenmann is rice, it doesn't even resonate a deep a tone as my first Brabus exhaust or the carlsson. It has a flat, ricer whirring over 3k rpm.

The only reason why yours may be deeper is because it is a 240, as the air pressure coming out of your engine is much lower than an amg or a kompressor. Please bear that in mind.

Lower air pressure, slower air flow, lower resonance, hence deeper pitch?

Higher air pressure, faster air flow, higher resonance, hence higher pitch? Makes sense?

A soundpipe is highly recommended to get that nice deep, throaty growl.
