I know thier supposed to be. The pipe flares out to fit over your stock exhaust so you can tighten a clamp to secure it. However when I installed mine, the flare ended up being the same size as my stock exhaust piping. We had to break out the welder and weld it on. Luckily my dad used to work at a muffler shop when he was a teenager, so it was easy.

if the flares itself are the same size as the stock piping, wouldn't the remus piping then be smaller the stock, therefore restrictive (i realize it's just for shorth length) i was looking at this exhaust too, any gain (or loss) in power, does anyone here have a soundclip of this exhaust on a 4-cyl c230? thanks in advance

I had a choice of either tip# T62 "racing look" but i still love the 2 round tips polished, I never really herd a sound clip on a W203, any would be appreciated! I met up with C230_05 today and his eisenmann gets louder every time i see him lol.

by the way, is Garden State Plaza the one near ikea!? or is that called Jersey Garden mall??? I hope we can also pull another NYC/NJ meet in Roosevelt Field Mall, see you guys there =]

gonna post pics/soundclips/video once i get it and have it installed =]

performance wise it should be fine, but the looks of it might now be going through three owners.

If it looks good and has low miles, I would go for it. Make sure the tubing hasn't been bent or crushed in all the R&Rs and shipping.

Exhaust sounds great, is that the race or the sport version? I'm guessing race because of the larger tip diameters.
Only thing bothering me is how far the tips stick out, doesn't seem to flow well. I'd incorporate it into the bumper if I were you.

Looks good!

I agree with r3v1ls though. IMO, the tips seem to stick out a little too much and doesn't flow as good.

that was the most he could get it in. i could cut it off somewhere and weld it, but i did this whole thing without welding, just 2 clamps and 2 adapters because the eisenmann's pipe is 1/2 inch bigger than the stock pipe.

its the race version, BTW. im going to let it melt the bumper a little and hten either buy a dremel tool or put on a rieger rear.

yeah the tips stick out a bit much, i'd cut the pipes a bit shorter. The exhaust sounds great, did u put the res on or did u put a straight pipe!?

did you have to cut the stock pipe somewhere and clamp on the eisenmann pipe? if that's the case can you cut the stock pipe further upstream so the eisenmann will move forward? i hear you on letting it make it shape with the bumper but it kind of sticks out to the back, anyway great sounding exhaust, makes me want to get it. enjoy
