W203/CL203 Aftermarket Exhaust Thread - All you want to know
(amgmark)and Mario
(Weidermann) have pulled off the C55 exhaust OEM on the C32 !
Affalterbach, did a dual exhaust for the CL203 C-Coupe C32 ////AMG version.
Only about 15 of these were made, and the remaining 15 or so, got the single-side dual-tip set up just like the US version C32 AMG C-Sedan.
See pic below:
Theoretically, you could swap out the two single-tip mufflers, with dual-tip mufflers, and making it look like a quad.
Affalterbach does have a new division which does one-offs and custom builds, but unless you can afford a barn full of Ferraris, it's not something any penny-pinching modders here will be able to take up on.
so probably got done in 2 weeks.
He also has a home in Orlando, FL and in Austria. That's where he might be.
I lost track of him, after his mega-hamburger eating contests that seemed to follow every MB meet we had in SoCal.
I didn't know he was selling his C32. But that would have been killer, because he had a ton of extra Euro only engine mods from AMG themselves, as well as the C55 exhaust, parktronic, IMS, the original C32 AMG spoiler, and a beautiful color car !!!

He had it listed for about 1 week and then pulled it (and decided to keep it). By the time I had seen the listing, when I pm'd him about it, he said he wasn't selling it anymore. Even though I probably would've been upside-down on my car at that time, it would've been worth it if I could've taken his car off his hands...
Oh well, it wouldn't leave me the opportunity to have as much fun with my car and as it turns out, it looks like I'll be picking it up tomorrow (for those of you that have been paying attention to my "car is in the shop" posts).
My suggestion:
If you know a Professional (someone with many years on this kind of job) who can make it, go on.
With a CORRECT custom made exhaust you can gain respectable power, better than the "Official kits".

He says he spent some 4-5K on it but thats with all OEM parts and shipping from Deutchland. However im sure a lot of money could be saved by just getting some of the piping done at a local garage. However certain OEM parts cant be avoided like the C55 spare tire well...
its gettin late and i cant research anymore so if anyone else has any additional links or info on doing this kind of set up i would really appreciate it
Whatever on that opinion thing

I drive a 2004 230 sports sedan which is the correct muffler for my vehicle? I am looking for the 2x90mm tip size.

I almost bought a remus mufler from a member here, but I changed my mind because I didnt think it looked quite right on the car, but thats just my opinion. I opted for the AMG exhaust, (which I still need to pick up!!!)
Good luck and I hope you buy from Australia too!
I have been thinking of doing a quad exhaust set up similar to JT320's set up as seen pictured below. He already has a rear body kit with set up for the quad exhaust and I would purchase something similar however I prefer the amg body kit the most out of all of them.
Can i get your input guys? Also anyone know of a shop in socal that can do the cutout for me or will any exhaust shop do it? TIA
