Holy shzznite Sick,

I dig your C. It's farkin' cleaaaan. I don't usually like the CL-style grill, but it blends perfectly with the Expression kit. Where'd you get the small chrome bar above the license plate, if you don't mind me asking? I don't like too much chrome, but that looks tight.

NICE.

I am just wondering, when you installed your eisenmann muffler, was it welded to the original pipe? Mine was welded by the preson who installed it, but I heard somehow that Eisenmann race for w203 does not require welding.

Superb job! Does anyone have any idea on how to install a dual catback exhaust system? I've seen some modded benz's that have tail pipes on both sides but after looking at the pics of ctC230K's underside, it seems this would be quite difficult to do. Could anyone direct me to some pics or links as to how people have done this?

It sounds really nice outside, what about the inside? Is it really loud when accelerating and drones during low speed (40MPH) and high speed (70MPH) cruses? Can someone make a video with Race exhaust inside the cabin while driving or just revving the engine? Thanks

yes and yes. i've gotten used to it, it's not so loud to me anymore. I can't wait till this crappy weather gets warm and i can drive with the windows down to really hear it! i'll make a video when i get the chance.

Probably Weltmeister muffler or Carlsson, where the piping goes across the rear bumper to the other side to have the quad exhaust look (example is FrankW's car).

This can be custom made, but the only car that has the true dual cat-back is the C55, but it has a dual cat-back because it needs it. No other models really need that.

There is one person who had a C32 (Weidermann) that did a complete replacement to the C55 exhaust set-up. Only thing is, a lot of other parts needed to be replaced (including the trunk spare tire holder).

AmgMark did the C55 exhaust swap too. As for the custom made set up, wouldn't you have to get a special muffler for that? Would it just be one of those inline ones with one input and two outputs? I'm guess one output would be for the first tip and the second for the second tip on the other end.

When I said "custom" set up, for a 320/240 it would have to be a Y pipe, to single piping, to muffler and dual muffler outlet (one of which would go across the rear bumper) w/ dual tips soldered on the ends.

FrankW had a custom Magnaflow quad exhaust before he swapped it with the Weltmeister. He was going to get the Carlsson, but I'm not sure if he did. If you're curious about that, you should really hit him up. He'd be able to give you a better explanation.

hey i found the thread that Weidermann did on installing a dual exhaust system on his C32.
https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...&highlight=c55
He says he spent some 4-5K on it but thats with all OEM parts and shipping from Deutchland. However im sure a lot of money could be saved by just getting some of the piping done at a local garage. However certain OEM parts cant be avoided like the C55 spare tire well...

its gettin late and i cant research anymore so if anyone else has any additional links or info on doing this kind of set up i would really appreciate it

New Remus Exhaust

Thinking about buying this Remus Exhaust, but not entirely sure if I need a whole new bumper or if the tips come on underneath the bumper. This would be my first mod on my W203 and I'd think it'd be a good place to start. Also, how long would it take to put something like this in properly.

I have a sedan, and I plan on having a dealership service department put it in.

Also, any comment on whether or not Remus exhausts are good? What I really want is an Eisenmann but definitely don't want to drop the $1k for one.

Curious, what price did you get? Saw online the other day, they were going for over 700 + shipping! Crazy.
I got mine used,
and paid 50 bucks to get it installed at muffler shop.
Cut the old one off, welded the new one on.
Took about 1/2 hour as previously stated.
I have coupe and it fits fine.
Don't go to the stealer.

Yes, I love it. Without a doubt, I absolutely love it.
Nicer deeper tone, without driving me crazy.
Keep in mind, benz's are nicely insulated for sound, so you won't hear it alot on the inside, but I get a nice low rumble at idle, and yeh, I can hear it...a little. I you ever drive in a tunnel, roll down the windows and punch it...yeh, it's definitely louder. It's also useful in traffic, for getting other drivers to not do stupid ****, when they hear you wind up.
The scratches on my bumper are unrelated to the remus install.

Yeah, I was pretty set on buying this, if I was to offer for this muffler, what's the highest should I go? I don't really know about the prices of Remus mufflers. And I talked to a buddy of mine about this and he said to never buy a used exhaust, that it could be clogged, rusted on the inside, etc.

I showed the ebay listing to my buddy and he says it's fake, you can spot the spray painting marks from where the chrome meets the black. The tips are real but the rest of the muffler is a fake.

How do you know if it's clogged or rusting? Is the sound going to be different? or is it bad for the car ?
