W203/CL203 Aftermarket Exhaust Thread - All you want to know
I will be looking for a set of quad exhaust soon
so, what are my options.
I know there is carlsson and Weltmeister.
but not sure about the price and where to get one.
Also, I am thinking about custom it, but If I want something close to stock, like it quiet, what should I do.
any suggestions??
thanks,
Michael

since you're in LA, there's this one custom shop that I've seen with pretty decent work: http://www.aaaexhaust.com/
hell, even evosport can do it too (I've seen them do it to a CLK55 with a single dual exhaust)!

There is someone who got a custom "dual" exhaust look (w/ single exit on both sides). I believe they used oval tips also.
Do you feel the need to start a new thread about dual/quad exhausts everytime you think about it?
you can find my weltmeister exhaust clip on youtube of course. with the resonator on. i haven't record one without the resonator, but few people have heard it.
if you are looking for something thats quiet to almost stock like, you can find a used 05-06 sport exhaust and have the shop cut off the tip and make some custom ones with extention pipes goes to the passenger side.
I had one done before I got the weltmeister at a shop called Speedway muffler. They're in Rowland Heights. I'd give u their number, but I lost their card.

Okay, so I suggest you look through the twenty million quad exhaust threads I merged. I'm sure there is some good information in there, considering some of the threads date back to 2002/2003!

I got my Remus a little under $400 just for the muffler and instalation.
It depends on what brand you get. Go in there and talk to them. They will let you listen to any muffler you want before the installation is completed.
They turn your car on rev it with the mufflers connected.
You can go through a list of mufflers till you find the right one. Be ready to spend at least $300 minimum (at leastttt!).
They do a very clean job. They can make dummy quads, dual, single..etc..you name it, and be sure to get your resignator delted if you want a deeper sound.
