So, just how much technology is in the C230K?

I was telling a friend the other night that one of the things I liked about the c230K was the amount of technology and gadgets it has...certainly that was one of the reasons I bought it...

I couldn't even begin to list it all...really, I know the thing is just loaded, but damned if I could list it.

I know about the ESP, ASR, ABS, Drive by Wire, Electric Steering, Fibre optic ring, variable valve timing, and the tele-aid system...and the car has no antenna, either. Is it in the rear glass? I'm guessing so.

So what other technobits am I missing?

don't forget the safety equipment, FFS, and above all the cup holder.

asking "how much technology is in the coupe" is like asking "how much knowledge is in the webster's dictionary" -- it's not exactly quantifiable.

I know about the ESP, ASR, ABS, Drive by Wire, Electric Steering,....
Explain the electric steering. I'm aware that some vehicles have and electric motor that replaces the power steering pump making the steering "electric assisted" as opposed to "hydraulic assited". Poking around under the hood of my coupe, I found a power steering pump. Or did I?

I don't know if it's considered "high-tech", but a feature I find cool is the amount of recyclable plastic that is used in places where it makes sense to use plastic. Examples: the floor of the trunk, belly pans, suspension bits, etc.

More tech stuff I like that's not mentioned:
Auto up & DOWN on BOTH windows.
System that uses nearby lamps to replace a burnt-out lamp.
Auto headlights.
The front flip-and-tumble seats only tumble if they are far enough back. Same for easy entry feature on power seat option.
The glovebox and the grab handles have dampers on them that keep them banging when let go.
Interior lights only bother to come on if it's dark out(ok..who cares?).
Cruise control works even when shifting (or so I'm told).
Homelink (saves me from buying another $30 gate opener from my condo assoc.).
Voice activated controls (optional).
Auto-start feature on automatics.
"Rest" mode on HVAC (though it's proven useless in the summer and I forget to use it in the winter)
Audiopilot (open the roof to get more bass)

Mine's cracked, so I'd say that's a bad idea. Pretty dumb, too, since they're encouraging people to load it up with the hatchback configuration, but you can only put in balsa wood, for fear of breaking the plastic.
