The '05 grille looks great. I would like to get one and I was curious about the price on those. My MB dealer quoted me for 198.00.
How much is one?

also, I'm still debating if I should get the 05 grill or not. I dont want to do the "custom" work that has to be done for fitment.

Help Me Choose a Grill for my Coupe
i stole these pictures from a sticky... but its a good side-by-side comparison. right now i have the foggy lights with xenon, but am considering to get the 05 grill before i get bixenons.
so i was pondering 3 options: (pick one)
1. keep stock grill (and save money or other mods)
2. buy 05 grill
3. paint stock grill same color as body except MB star
(keep in mind that my car is midnight blue and does not have clear lenses)

the only thing that makes me worry with using tape is weathering... if it is raining or if i drive by a dusty place... it will stick to the overlaps of the tape and might not look very clean. also the carbon fiber pattern might not line up right when i tape it so that makes me hesitate. thanks for the suggestion!

Paint stock grill, leave top strip chrome.
Paint new style grill...
Tape is good 'too see' what it looks like.
Did it recently, damn it, full of bubbles.
So, next up is paint.
Here's the black tape (soon to replaced with paint) in another thread

i did think about painting the new 05 grill... but purchasing the grill and paying to get it painted will cost around 300... maybe a little too steep for this mod in my opinion.

Check out the pics of my car w/ the MH-Dezent grille. I have everything color matched except the star portion (and inner portion, which is still flat black). I love it the way it is and I used to be completely opposed to the big-star grille (until I saw Sanny with a similar setup on his black w203 - before he got rid of it). My car is the same color as yours.
I posted pics in that other thread that was started trying to decide on what grille.
