I was just wanting to post a couple of pics of my 2002 C230k I bought in Feb. but I just got 20% tints a couple months ago for the first "mod"....but I'm wanting to do more. I really would like to do '05 tail lights, but I have no idea where to get them. Maybe some Bi-Xenon's? but still....I'm not sure where to get them or how the install would work, because I don't know of a place in Charlotte, NC that could/has done it.

I also would like to do some kind of Ipod Integration other then my cassette adapter But I need to upgrade to Audio 10 I think...not sure what path to take for that one either...If I had to upgrade to Audio 10 then I'm fairly sure I would just buy it from Ebay.de and install it myself. It seems pretty simple. Other then that idk what to do.

PS. I know the pics aren't that great, and the scenery is bad, and the fact that she's dirty....but I stay pretty busy so it's hard. She usually get washed like 1 every other week though

u might wanna take a look at the pioneer Avic Z1 GPS unit, adding little money for the components, u get Ipod Integrated along with the unit and bluetooth device in car.

 

I wouldn't put new wheels on a car if you can't keep the old ones clean. Just my opinion.

 

If you want an aux input for your
ipod, do the aux input radio mod thats around here somewhere.

If you want audio 10, I'll sell you mine after I convert back to
the cassette with mod sometime in next few weeks.

 

I suggest you just TINT your tail lights for now, possibly powdercoat your wheels matte black.

btw, did you add moleskin/suede on ur window sills after the tint? if you didnt, a few more weeks down the road, you'll find out that your tints will start to scratch

 

BTW, I DID buy some felt strips, but by the time they got to me. I had already rolled them down about 3 or 4 times. Alot by accident....but the scratches are soo 'skinny' I guess..that you can't really see them unless you look for them. Just your average glance, u can't even see them :-D

I would absolutely LOVE to tint my taillights....but I have absolutely NO clue who, or where to go to for that...

How do you guys think it would look with the matte black powdercoat wheels? I am intrested in that too

I was planning on going to Michaels this weekend to pick up some tint. Most people on this forum tint it black... but I am buying red glass tint just to take out the pink (gross!). When you tint black it looks pretty nice when the lights are off, but when your lights turn on... they have this weird grey-red color.

I think you could go without spending a few hundred on 05 taillights (i seriously considered it for a while)... but now im just using the money for navi. I'll post pics once I get it done.

 

I don't know man.....I don't really like Navigational systems....I think they're kinda pointless unless I had a family and/or traveled a lot. But I'd really like to get some 05 tail lights, but I've looked on EBay and random webpages, but some just feel untrustworthy...maybe it's just me. IDK...but does anyone know of a site that I can get these from that is legit??

I have emailed the sales department at sales@mbenznl.com about the tail lights and Bi xenons but they haven't responded...yet hopefully. I just wanted to get some prices and stuff, but they look like they don't have much going on based off of their site...I mean it's pretty vague and basic


OH YEAH...

And I STFF's lol...found the DIY De-Badgeing thread, helped alot. I think I will do that ASAP as you said. I might want to put them back on later though. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do that....I never saw and threads on how to put them back on..

 

you should get clear sidemarkers from ebay to replace the amber markers. that's a simple $40 mod that looks great!
