Pulleyed W203, what spark plug to run
Ok, I'm running Champion Cooper that is a colder plug than stock, and I am looking to get a longer life plug.
What do you guys like?

I thought a pullied W203 got you nothing? Something about the car's ECU compensating for the extra boost as a "safety" measure?
Does a pullied 1.8 give a noticeable increase? If so, maybe I'll look into it again.
Thanks.

For the plugs, what is the model number of the plug. Any problems with pre-ignition, or pinging?
Darwin, thanks for the input. I'm sure you have seen quite a few pullied cars.

Darwin;
Do you know what number I should ask for. After searching on different forums it seems that a 5 or 7 would work. The IX plug gapped to say .035.
I think this is the 7EIX plug right?
So, would these get me say 40-50k miles?
I'm hoping to source these tomorrow and install. I'm getting an odd hesistation under constant load of about 2,300 rpms. Seems like the car is pulling timing. I hope it is not the MAS.

Magnecor 8.5mm racing wires & Iridium IK16s spark plugs, the car will run 10x smoother and have a more punchy feel to it, which you will get used to after a while.... Im not sure how long this setup will last though since ive only put about 4K miles into it.

5EIX for your car (M111). You dont gap an iridium plug. You should be able to get it at a local autoshop. They are very easy to find.

Man, the plug is not the easiest to actually find. At least not at the Ghetto Kragen and Autozones in Gardena.
Guess I'll keep looking.

NGK Iridium.
2 steps colder for pullied M111.
You can order them or buy them online for about 5 bucks a piece.
.04 gap.
I got mine at Winchester Auto. And yeh, they'll last 40-50K at least.

If boost has increased over stock then go with an NGK "7" heat range or the Denso equivalent of IK22. Better safe than sorry. Iridiums worked great for me in the past on my two turbo Integra's so I would definitely recommend them.
The downside of running too cold of a plug is a less smooth running motor at idle and part throttle conditions which is minor considering the downside of running too hot of a plug may cost you your motor.
If you need to gap iridiums do not use the standard gapper that you jam into the opening. You'll need a gapper that bends the arm open or closed. Mac tools sells one for < $15.
