Has anyone tried these in their car?

The LED's I bought early last year for my side markers are a little too blue for my taste (maybe 6500k) and I'd like to replace the yellow parking lights with these, too. Some reviewers are saying it's a perfect 5000k...others say more like 5500k.
I'm aware of the "You get what you pay for," but most reviews are positive.

I learned, from previous posts, that the SMD LED bulbs eliminate the need for extra electrical modifications, so I went ahead and purchased a pair of "GP Thunder SMD 194 LED Lights." I originally saw the LEDs on eBay (seller: premierteknet112222), but later found out that the seller is a warehouse located in City of Industry, CA. Since I live in Walnut, I drove over and made the purchase in person.

I pulled the halogen bulbs out with pliers and installed the LEDs (PnP). Fortunately, NO error messages showed up.

I've attached some pictures of the LEDs in action. The LEDs are actually white in color, though my camera makes them look blue. My low beam bulbs are "Luminics Krypton Titanium White H7s," and my high beam bulbs are "PIAA Xtreme White Plus H7s." Please let me know if more pictures are needed. Thanks!

Here is the link to the LEDs I purchased:

http://www.hid-lights.com/products/l...94-SMD-9W.html

P.S. The warehouse manager charged me $18 OTD for 1 pair of LEDs. He kindly said that a group discount for bulk purchases is available. Also, I bought the 9LEDs/bulb version, but there are also 5LEDs/bulb and 25LEDs/bulb versions available.
I have a pair of LED parking lights that were suppose to fit my 2005 C240 but its not fitting the housing. How did you get your LED's to fit the parking light housing ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/281335574391...84.m1497.l2649

define not fitting? any T10 wedge should really fit just fine. Try just pushing in harder. Or buying something that isn't $4.99...

My bad on the late reply.

It fits in the wedge connector, but it wont fit in the hole of the actual parking light housing. The round end of the LED light seems to wide, but I ve seen others posts similar to the LED's I bought and they were able to fit it through the parking light housing.

Question City Light bulb to match 5000k HALOGEN

I'm installing Phillips DiamondVision 5000k halogens in my low beam and fogs (my car does not have bi-xenons). I need a citylight a.k.a parking light (W5W) which matches the DiamondVision 5000k. Phillips only makes a W5W WhiteVision which is 4300k.

From what I've read, LED won't match the Halogens (plus not that keen on the LED idea). Anyone know of a 5000K 5W5 halogen bulb for citylight?

I just put these LED ones in last week...its really not that blue, just the way I took the picture combined with the shop's lighting, I guess.

Much brighter than the stock bulbs, instantly made it "newer" looking to me...not that dingy yellowy color.

Thanks for the picture. It looks great!

I've ordered azn optics' led for my city lights, diamondvisons for both my lows and my fogs. Hoping it all matches up nicely. Will put up pics when I put them in (about 4 weeks time only though).

Hi Mickelonni,

The W5W is not designed to take an LED, hence why the car doesn't recognize it. You need an LED which has an error canceler built in (i.e. so your car doesn't return an error message with the LED).

I ordered the LED from AZN Optics which has an error canceler built in (check this thread near the beginning) or check out their website - http://www.aznoptics.com. I installed mine yesterday and they are working great. No errors. Looks awesome too.

I hope that helps. Will post pics of my new headlight bulbs soon.

I have to quote the Green Machine and second AZN Optics. When I installed the lights, I couldn't stop thinking that this was the best 19 dollars I ever spent. Then I saw the clear side marker lights with the stealth bulbs. Next comes the lights underneath the mirrors. It's too bad there is no way to install the lighting package on this car. My buddy has the lighting package on his M class and I like them soo much. Such a cleaner look.

I'm going to make sure that when the next C coupe graces my parking spot that it comes with the lighting package. The good news is that LED bulbs seem to be the thing now and MB is even using them on the CLA.

Looks like Philips now has these new Vision LED bulbs, with a 12 year guarantee.

Anyone try any of these before? They just showed up at the local stores a couple of months ago. I talked to a Philips rep and he couldn't tell me if there were resistors built in or if it would throw errors, but they did sell separate resistor kits. They only come in certain sizes though. For example, they are available in 1156, but not P21W.

Pics of new lights

As promised, here are some pics of the new lights I put in. AZN optics LED bulbs for the city lights (parking lights/W5W) and Phillips DiamondVision 5000k halogens in my low beam and fogs. I unfortunately forgot to take a pic of the low beams before I put in the DiamondVision (was obviously too excited ).

Note: the pictures really don't quite capture it. The pics either show the lights too blue (they are not blue at all, just pure bright white) and often show the LED brighter than what it really is. The LED is not a 100% perfect match to the DiamondVision but is pretty close (and looks a million times better than the stock citylight). Overall, this was an upgrade I am INCREDIBLY happy with, was relatively cheap and easy to do, even for a real noob like myself.

Pic 1 - Lows done with diamondvision. One city light done with LED.
Pic 2 - Lows and city lights done. Fogs not done (Still stock).
Pic 3 - One fog done (one closest to camera) and one still stock.
Pic 4 - Lows, city and fogs done.

Madspeed - side markers are still stock.

LED W5W from www.aznoptics.com (see the beginning of this thread for more info on these).
The lows and fogs I got from http://www.autolamps-online.com/

How do you get the stock city bulbs out?? I cannot figure it out. They do not seem to twist out like the 210/208’s. I’m not trying to yank on the wiring, please advise.

Thanks!!
