Been to several other places. No 0W-40 anywhere. Haven't we had posts saying this was a special blend not available publicly?

The 0W-40 IS available publicly, just not at your normal retail outlets. You have to find an authorized ExxonMobil distributor around your area that will sell to the public. 80% of them won't mind the added retail business. The dealers will rip you off by selling the oil to you at $48-$50 a case (6 qts). Most of these distributors only charge $20-$22 for a case of 0W-40 oil. I walked into a local distributor and they had at least 1000 cases of 0W-40 Mobil 1 oil... Needless to say, I bought a few cases.

MB-BOB, FYI, here's a list of Texas distributors...

dwang,

This is great information, thanks. Did you get the list of TX distributors from a website? If so, maybe you can post the URL for the website, so members elsewhere can look for a distributor local to them.

Rick is correct when he says try Wal-mart. While most do not have 0W-40, a few do have it.
