That bad boy weighs 25,000 lbs, so you'd be hard pressed to find a rig to tow that bad boy.

Thanks!
Yeah, that is the original paint. Most 1991-1994 Sentras have the failing clear coat issue. The beauty of black on this Sentra, is it is single stage. Makes for polishing easy.
I spent 2 weekends with the Porter Cable DA, Meguires M105, Menzerna FF106, and Menzerna Power Lock Sealant. Came out pretty damn good, if I do say so![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)

Congrats on the Tiguan! I really like that SUV, good call.

And yes, you'd need a tractor trailer to tow that boat. Must be nice to have six figures burning a hole in your wallet!

I thought that John might mean a real Big *** boat. Who wants a toy you can tow. ![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

I note that the Tiguan has the strongest cabin/roof in SUV roll over testing. Good to know she is solidly designed & built.

John - I don't know with that monster pano roof. But safety is impressive all round.

Anyway, the pano roof is worth it at any cost. Pretty much my favorite option on the rig.

It is coming up on some maintenance like the transmission service and the haldex clutch service, so I am researching that. Appears the transmission is sealed just like the 7G, so it will be a similar service. Already ordered my Vag-com cable so I can have a similar tool as DAS.

Yes, I read it is pretty safe. Even my insurance company said it was high rated for safety. I was shocked how cheap my insurance was on it. It is almost half the premium of the Benz ![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)

of course you have the vag-com! Blake bought one of those when he got his A4 and I was shocked at how much you can do with just a cable and your laptop.
are you going to get an ECU tune? I've seen pretty good numbers from the 2.0T with just a tune alone.
keep us updated!

haha, wow! I can't believe that the insurance is like that.

Absolutely, I am getting a ECU tune. My brother-in-law works for Streamline Industries in UT. They are an Audi/VW performance oriented shop. I am going to visit them next summer and turn him loose on it

I am already impressed with the 2.0T stock. It has good power, and great economy for an AWD SUV.

Haven't updated in a while, since the Benz has been sitting in the heated garage for the winter
Been driving the hell out of my new winter rig. Since it is a beautiful sunny day today, I decided to drive her today. Then it got me thinking.
Anyway, shortly after I got my C, I had the windows tinted with Huper Optik tint. I read about MB and tint scratching problems due to the plastic wipers in the door, and suggested my tint guy to add moleskin to the wipers. He tinted my car, then tried to put moleskin on the drivers door w/o removing the door panels and finally gave up. He told me to give it a shot, and if the tint scratched he would re-do it FOC.
So, of course shortly after getting the tint I noticed scratches appearing, so I bought the Tint Protector kit and just now, over 4 YEARS later got around to installing it. So, after install, I called my tint guy up to redo the tint. I wanted to get my Tiguan tinted, so I figured that would give him some more incentive to come fix the Benz. Now my Benz finally has perfect scratch-free tint. I just hope it stays that way! Sorry, but I blew it and didn't take pics of the scratched tint, but needless to say it looked like crap. I am a happy camper now.
Coming up soon, when I get some free time (yeah right), I need to do the following:
Replace the other 3 magnets on the engine
Change the plugs
Brake fluid flush
Rear differential fluid change
Add resistors in place of sidemarker lights
Install the license plate LED's I got from Matt forever ago
And finally replace the front pads and rotors if I ever wear out the factory pads

I wish my Benz had tint but with all the issues I'm never going to go that route.
Can't you disable the side markers via DAS? I don't know how you drive with bulb out warnings that makes me crazy.

Will do John. Sorry about not getting back to you on the bumper. W/O a vin number to a car with that exact trim, I can't find the right parts. Too many different model variations. Did you have any luck finding parts?

I keep getting a side marker out error, too.. if I tap on the light, it comes back on. I'm gonna have to check it. Where does one get this moleskin?
