Hello guys, I recently purchased a C-class MBZ. Although I have many experiences with high-powered Japanese cars(TT Z and TT Supra), I have to admit I'm not too familiar with MBZ vehicles. The ironic thing is that I work for Mercedes-Benz, LOL.. Reason why I bought my car were 1. MB gave me a sweet deal (DEPP employee purchase program) 2. I want to learn more about MBZ cars, I thought owning one would be a good start.

Here are some pictures I took a couple of days ago before the weather got ugly

Congrats man, and welcome to the forum.

One thing you might want to know about your C230. (esp. coming from TT cars like your Z and Supra)

It's SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW, and if you got the 7-G, prepare to slowly hate it.

Just my $0.02.

Congrats. Isn't that another Benz in the Garage already? Looks like a silver CLK? Are you sandbagging us? Anyway, enjoy the ride. It won't be the swiftest ride you've had but it will be smooth and comfortable.

Thanks guys for all the compliments- MB vehicles are very complicated vehicles, there are so many models and variatons(Electrical components mainly) but I'm learning new stuff everyday....

14cue-I've only worked for MB for about 7 months now, I'm studying and taking all the training courses to become a Service Advisor= Heck MB even sent me a certificate for SOE(Standard of Excellence)- Don't worry

This car will remain stock, I gotta admit after a hard day of work getting inside my Mercedes is a good feeling.

Saprissa- I test drove both and I could not justify paying more $$$ for C350..IMHO, there aren't too many difference between 230's and 350's
I already have a 400rwhp Z, I did not buy my MB for speed.

Here's pics of my red TT (sold)

cool !
didn't mean to insinuate disrespect in regards to a C230 vs C350,
just wondering if there was any specific reasons that kept you away from the C350. $$$ is definitely a factor, so I understand. Most of the C230 crowd in this forum mostly bought that car because they're into the "TUNING" scene and thought that the C230K was affordable enough to work the 2.3L engine. Turned out that the naturally aspirated C320 proved to be more "tunable" in the long run...

Anyway, bring your new Benz to the Mercedes-Benz Tri-State Meet in Irvine, CA on January 20th !!!

and get DTLA to bring some Benzies down as well !

No problem, I just want a comfortable daily ride to/from work- And C230 does it for me just fine- I'm leaving my MBZ stock, My "other car" takes all my money instead.
But yes I agree with you that C320 has more potential to make more power than C230K- "There's no replacement for displacement" comes to my mind.

I will try to make it to the meet on the 20th.

Cheers

I'm sooo jealous of the factory dual tips & rear spoiler (although I have a spolier).

I recently picked up an '07 C230 in October. Previously had an '04 6 speed manual. Main selling points for me with the '07:the engine, and the looks. For me, it feels a lot smoother than the 4, and I must say, I enjoy the automatic over the manual. Living in the city, it is certainly a pleasure to drive. Yes, there seems to be a lack of power at times (prior to the '04 I owned a 328ci and M3), but it is certainly works for my needs.

Options:

- Leather inserts
- Digital Climate Control
- CD changer
- Sunroof

Also have a set of TSW Bremma 18's on Goodyears.
