Hey guys,
I just uploaded a PDF file with some information about SpeedInnovation ECU tuning... How it works, what the gains are about, what the company is about... etc.

It also shows all MBZ models they tune and has the gains on there!

http://www.jlevisw.com/SpeedInnovation.pdf

Enjoy!

is there any warranty covering long term affects to the car that might be caused by this mod?

it seems to me that this whole thing is new and if i'm going to do any modding... i'd like to know what can potentially go wrong years down the road.

any idea on that risk? or what might be jeopardized?

We offer a 1 year warranty on the software. There is virtually no risk involved in simply tweaking the way the motor performs - they are very minor adjustments to maximize power and response.

Now that you've got my attention on ECU tuning. This obsviously beats out PowerChip's pricing/gains.

so roughly 15-20hp gains on my '03 C230k SS auto?
What would it cost to get reflashed should the stealership wipe it out?
How quick is this process, esp considering im about 30 mins from San Jose area?

BadAss C230K - The price is $450 + whatever shipping method you want.
I suggest Priority Overnight which is $50... You ship it before 3PM on day 1, we program and send out on day 2, and then you get it before noon on day 3!

Very quick stuff

It's a shame our new location isn't open yet (still setting up)... starting April 1st, we're going to offer overnight storage of the car.. you come by, we remove the ECU, we send it out, you come back 2 days later to a faster car... cool huh?

Just passing along a cool video and dyno of the latest Speed Innovation creation, a Ferrari 355.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5r27J8paCzE

This was performed on a DYNOJET system and the top run file is stock. Several run files appear as Speed Innovation tuned, dyno'd, tuned some more, dyno'd etc...until reaching the final run file.

Enjoy!

We're in NorCal but we tune our ECU's in SoCal.

There are no free before & after dynos. We can schedule them for you for $150 though.

You should be able to tell the difference. If you can't feel a diffrence I would ask for my money back. If you can't tell the difference what's the point of doing the flash in the first place.

I understand the placebo effect but I would imagine that any changes made from ecu mapping would be more noticeable than a placebo.

I should be getting my ecu back soon and will let you know then.

Why wouldn't they flash your ECU?
Now that the R&D has been done on it, it doesn't cost them anything. It's just as easy to actually flash it as to fake it... Either you plug in and spend 20 minutes flashing, or you plug in and spend 20 minutes faking..

Also, we welcome you to do before and after dynos.

When you say flash the ECU do you mean going throught the OBDII port and upload new software. Or do you guys open the ECU and put a different chip in it?
Has any one with the kleeman k-box gotten there ECU flashed. If so what is your procedure. I have a dyno of my car so it can be tuned to my specs.
