2014 Audi S5 Cabriolet 3.0T
New SLK 350 vs. 06 C 230
As it is well known, I have a 2006 C 230, but I am going to be selling car (Mercedes of course) at Keyes European (Van Nuys, CA) and I get the MBUSA discount on cars (REAL cheap). So, for a few grand I can swap out for a SLK 350. What are your thoughts on this? Mine are below...
PROS
Convertible (!!!)
Faster
More options (Didn't have a choice with mine)
Beautiful outside

Sorry but when I see an SLK, I always think 'Chick Car'
It is the Miata, VW Golf Cabrio, VW Bug of the Mercedes line.
A guy drives a Porsche, M3, 350Z or SL
A Z4 is in that grey area, but an SLK is definately for chicks

I think the 280 is for chicks, the 350 is better. I didn't like the old SLK, but the new one with the AMG kit is sporty. It was just a thought, I will have to drive it and make sure it is what I want.

If you want to get specific, the C class is considering a chicks car. Personally, I could care less.

yeap SLK350 is the way to go!, my aunt is still shopping around for a SLK350, she wanted a SLK280 but it doesnt come convertible! 
when the cold weather stops, shes getting a SLK350 in black! (AND I'll be driving it, why? because I can!) so any one in NYC will see me drive that thing to a meet in the summer!
I think the SLK has a better interior than the facelift sedans. but thats my opinion

I'm planning on swapping my C230 for a SLK350 next year. I've owned Porsches and Corvettes and nothing I've driven feels as tight and responsive as the SLK350, a pleasure to drive. My kid has the older SLK230 and it's smoother and quieter than the C230.
