I have the Bose...
well the only thing that is DB2 fiber is the CD player connection... there are no pre-amp RCA outputs on the head unit so you have to use what is called a "High - low converter" Any stereo install place should have these in stock. The converter takes a Amped signal and dampens it so that an amp can take in the input.
Most modern day amplifiers have these built in but for an easier install I used on anyway.
The converter is just connected to the ouput from a rear deck speaker. its hidden under the backseat.

Thanks for the Quick Reply
I was told that the fiber optics ran throughout the entire system.
I have Rockford Equipment from my old car and the converter already. I will have a good project this weekend Two 12" Punch and Rockford 100 Amp

To be honest with you I had the wiring done professionally... I didnt want to screw with the car myself to much... I just plugged everything and screwed everything down. I would imagine any speaker is a good source for the input...
Your running a RF 100 AMp for 2 12's??? Is that going to hit at all?
I have a RF 200 Mono amp on one 10 and I am not even thumping that hard.

Actually the Punch 100 Amp is about 5 Yrs Old they replaced this amp with the new 100 which only provides an output of around 100 watts constant the old 100 apm can probably supply 200 to 250 constant watts. To compare I paid around 500 Dollars for the Amp and the new ones Run around 200 Dollars

Sorry,
I went to the Rockford site. They have a library that is really informative. I looked up my amp and if I run it in Mono mode which I would with Two 12" subs 8 ohms a piece would give me a 4 ohm load. The amp will supply 400 watts. It's not the most ideal amp for the woofers but it pounds them pretty good. I had them in my previous car which was a Grand Prix GTP and they sounded pretty good.
You can find info for Rockford at WWW.Rockfordcorp.com

I am considering buying an 8 ohm resistor and running it in parallel with my Sub thus making the amp see a 4 ohm resistance...
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7
So I sould be able to get 100 watts apparently at 4 ohm and 200 at 2 ohm...
Will this help with the power or is it just going to distribute my signal and make it sound like crap?

I'm not sure if something like that would work. I read in the manual for my Amp which can be found on the site I posted. Page 32 of the manual describes resistors versus speaker resistance. Hope it helps with your decision.
Another question did Best Buy do your install?

Why does Best Buy Blow you seem to have some animosity towards them. Did the F up something?
Soo Far they are the only stereo shop saying that an install is possible on my car. That is why I ask you if you have the Bose Sys with 10 speakers and CD changer

yeah they are all just a big group of teenagers working there with little to no real experience in the audio field... and they are waaay over priced.
I went to a place called detail oriented in Elkridge MD
total cost of the install was $60
included parts.

Hello Enze6997,
Could you do use a favor and ask the Installer where he connected to the system and what kind of Adapter they used. I'm sure your system sounds good but does the subwoofer hit on all the frequencies.
Thanks alot I would appreciate the info because I plan on doing the install myself.
