carlsson pulleys availible to US market
I emailed a guy in England that deals with Carlsson products. He tells me he can get me the carlsson pulleys for about $1800 US. the kit comes with three pulleys, belts and an air filter. He also said the car will get 230 hp and do 0-62 in 7.6 secs. This dosent make sense to me, dosent this car do about half a second quicker than that stock?
I know there is alot of talk about the different pulley options for this car, but no one has said anything about this pulley. Can anybody comment in more detail on this product. By the way, he can also get the other products for us as well

i like the blue color!
it comes w/ 3 pulleys vs 2 for the other kits but not sure why that is significant. i think my car does 0-60 in about 8.5 seconds uphill (give or take a second and w/ me counting 1-mississippi, 2-mississippi, etc.)
carlsson pulley kit
169 kW (230 PS)/ 5200 - does that convert to 230hp?
can you post more info - website - about the english company? i'd like to see what else they can get. thanks.

The slushbox girls' cars were around 7.7. :p
I don't know if I'd want to spend $1800 to have my times go up. I'm assuming that his information was not correct, or that he was reading it wrong. I'd expect a 6.3-6.8 time.

yeah i think the a pullied car should do 0-60 in at least 7 flat. I like the regular black myself. As not to draw attention to it.

But isn't the performance increase from the Carlson the same as the ASP? Or am I wrong?
That's the problem with these tuners. It's anyone's guess. To my knowledge, nobody has dyno tested the same car with the different pullies. And who knows how much testing the tuners do? Don't get us started.
In theory, equal diameter and wieght pullies produce the same gain. The problem is these kits all contain different accessory parts that may, or may not, affect the overall performance or reliability.

Other than pulley size, it also depends on how much power is required to drive the system. The weight of the pulleys from different tuners vary so the performance gain, in theory, should also vary. But I think the performance variation will not be large.

There's a small possibility that the Carslon may produce a little more boost, it depends on the diameter of the crankshaft pulley. This is because they provide a idler pulley, this is what's needed to allow slightly more room for the belt to clear the waterpump. So there's a chance it's a larger diameter than all other pulleys but can't be by that much, maybe 1 cm. Of course being a steel pulley it's hampered by the weight vs. the Kleemann or ASP pulleys.
Someone buy one so we can all find out what the diameter is compared to other pulleys.

Peter@millemiglia.co.uk is his email. His company is an authorized carlsson dealer, so he can get any product. I dont understand how they can make their wheel prices so competitive, but have the most expensive pulleys. BTW, the 1/6's are on special on tierrack.com, $300 a piece for 18x8.5
