Beer and parts cost that much? Oh you paid someone else to screw them up for you! The cost of not knowing how to do things yourself.

I would have gone to other shops that specialized with MB cars versus to going to the dealership...you could have save some $$$$$ with the same result..

Independant.

I bought the stuff online to cut costs,+ labor.

I would do it myself and i know how, but i just dont have time to do it. Plus quite honestly i'd rather just pay for the labor instead of having to do it myself and cut into my free time.

you got ripped. for that price you might as well have taken it to the dealer and gotten a loaner. I paid $650 at Beverly Hills MB for them to do the front pads and rotors AND a Service B.

the rotors shouldn't be more than $70 each and the pads are $60 + $7 for the single sensor. I know two reputable independent shops that only charge an hour of labor for that and would be only $90-100 for labor only.

I don't know about taking it in by 7am and out by 8 (every MB dealer I've been to has taken their sweet time with everything), but at least you'd definitely get a free carwash, espresso and get to beat the **** out of a loaner.

Well I don't know where ya'll live, but (1) doing it myself is not an option - I seriously have no 'free time' to be changing brakes - even if it's 10 minutes, so I'll pay for it (time is money, I'd rather save the premier).

Dealership quotes me $600. Independent places quote me $400 (they get the parts and labor). So either way, it's more than the $200 brake jobs that you guys are getting. And yes, my dealership could have it done in like 2 hrs, so no need to even bother with a loaner, just pick it up in the evening.

OH and Service B, $600.

I have to do my rear brakes soon. My independant mechanic said parts for MB have dropped quite a bit. Rotors are only $60/each (cnd). He quoted me $350 for rear rotors/pads/sensors/labour. It's actually a good time to own a used benz.

Rears are significantly cheaper than the fronts.

I spent $170 (parts included) to change out front pads and replace 1 sensor at an indpendent shop here in OC.

I remember my brother got raped by Shelly BMW for his E39. He paid something like $1200 for all 4 pads and 4 rotors to be replaced.
Sheez it could be worse!
Phil have you priced this for the M3 yet??
