Auto Dimming Mirrors

Good afternoon, I have recently fitted an auto dimming RVM, and would like to fit the auto dimming wing mirrors. I have purchased an offside mirror and having removed the existing mirror there are different terminals is this upgrade straight forward or do I have to modify the loom?
Thanks
Paul.

the door control module should support this feature first. If the mirror you purchased is from a w203, then it's straightforward

Hi Sunil, the mirror is indeed from a W203, it appears to have a socket for a plug of some discription, do I need a loom adaptor?
Thanks
Paul.

depending on what year the that mirror came from (earlier mirrors had a socket behind the base of the mirror and required another harness to attach the base to the door control module, later mirrors have the single long harness that goes straight to the door control module.)

Hi Sunil, this mirror has the socket at the base of the mirror, so this means I need the loom to go from the mirror to the door control mudule?
Thanks
Paul.

Funny the only mirror on my 2003 that does not dim is the passenger!

Hi Guys, I got the drivers side (RHD) auto dimming mirror on Ebay for £33, the loom required is £20.00 from Mercedes. A worthwhile exercise I think! An RHD drivers side mirror would do a US passenger side and vice versa if you so wished.

Yes,
this has been discussed many times,
and as hjhph stated, the driver's side auto-dimming mirror (RHD) will work as a (LHD) passenger's side auto-dimming mirror, assuming you use the appropriate loom, mirror, and door control module.
